A.J. Brown’s life looks a little different as the 2026 NFL season gets rolling. He’s in New England now, and at home, he’s also a husband.
Brown married Kelsey Riley on May 16, 2026, at Montage Laguna Beach in California, bringing a long relationship to the altar after years of public and private milestones. Riley has been part of Brown’s rise for years, including his run to a Super Bowl title with the Philadelphia Eagles, and she brought her own athletic background into the relationship long before the wedding.
Riley grew up in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, then headed to Texas Southern University in Houston, where she played softball. She worked the outfield for Texas Southern, hit .336 across three seasons and earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2017. She graduated in 2019 with a degree in health administration and was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
After college, Riley moved into healthcare and worked as a patient access representative. In 2021, she shared that she had been accepted into nursing school.
Brown and Riley kept things mostly private for a while, but they went public in February 2022 when Riley posted photos from a winter trip with the NFL star. Later that year, they welcomed their son, Arthur Juan Brown Jr., on Sept.
29, 2022. Their son, known as Deuce, has become a regular sight at his father’s games.
Brown also has a daughter, Jersee, who was born in 2020 from a previous relationship.
Riley has shown up for plenty of Brown’s biggest moments. After Philadelphia won the Super Bowl, she was with him when he received his ring in July 2025.
In a post at the time, she wrote, “When I look at you, I see so much more than just the love of my life,” Riley wrote in part. “I see strength.
I see patience. I see a man who gives his all, even on the hardest days.”
Brown proposed on May 3, 2025, and the moment had a headline-worthy soundtrack. John Legend performed live at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, sitting at the piano and singing “You & I (Nobody in the World)” as family, friends, their children and several of Brown’s Eagles teammates watched.
The wedding itself leaned into Riley’s Louisiana roots. The celebration started with a Louisiana-themed welcome party that featured Creole food and a New Orleans band, and the wedding included a traditional second line celebration.
About 200 guests attended, with Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith and DK Metcalf among the NFL players there. Riley wore a custom Tony Ward gown, while Brown wore Dolce & Gabbana.
Now Brown is in the middle of another major transition, this time wearing Patriots colors after leaving Philadelphia for New England ahead of the 2026 season. Through all of it, Riley has stayed in the picture - first as the woman beside him during his Eagles years, and now as his wife.
