Tom Brady showed up in Las Vegas for Nebraska’s season-opening women’s volleyball match against UNLV, and the scene quickly turned into more than just a courtside celebrity sighting.
Brady and his daughter, Vivian Lake, watched Nebraska sweep UNLV, while Brady also spent time before the match with Cornhuskers head coach Dani Busboom Kelly. His daughter was seen talking with Nebraska star outside hitter Harper Murray, who said she has ties to Brady through mutual connections in Michigan athletics. The video also captured Murray walking over to Brady, where the two shook hands and hugged.
Murray made her feelings clear about Brady being there to back women’s volleyball, calling it “awesome” that someone with his profile is supporting a sport that continues to grow. She backed that up on the court, too, finishing with a team-high 11 kills in the win.
Once the clip hit social media, though, the conversation drifted far beyond volleyball.
