Huskers Reflect on a Memorable Season Despite Sweet 16 Exit
HOUSTON - The locker room buzzed with a shared sentiment: a longing to run it back one more time with this special group. The bond off the court translated into magic on it, and the Huskers knew it.
"We were so close off the court, and everyone saw the product on the court," said Pryce Sandfort. "We just play so well together. Such a fun group to be around."
This season was nothing short of historic for Nebraska, but the sting of a 77-71 loss to Iowa in the Sweet 16 was still fresh.
"We've worked so hard for this," senior Rienk Mast reflected. "All the off-season grind, the whole year, and yeah, making a mark in Nebraska history feels rewarding.
Hopefully, that feeling sinks in soon. Definitely not feeling it right now."
Here’s more insight from the Huskers’ journey in Houston.
