Georgia isn’t backing off one of Nebraska’s biggest 2027 football pledges.
Four-star safety Corey Hadley has become a target for the Bulldogs, who recently brought him to campus and are now in “heavy pursuit,” according to Rivals. Hadley is ranked No. 147 overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2027 class, and the 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back sits as the fifth-highest-rated player in Nebraska’s class.
Hadley’s own words suggest he’s keeping the door cracked as the process plays out.
“With this being a big decision, it can never be over until it’s really over. You’ve got to think that’s always the hometown team,” Hadley said about his recruitment.
Nebraska’s 2027 group still has serious star power, with Hadley among 10 blue-chip commitments in a class that checks in at No. 17 nationally per 247 Sports. For now, there haven’t been any projections connecting him to a move to Georgia, but it’s a situation worth monitoring in the coming weeks.
One other note on the Huskers’ 2027 haul: EDGE commitment Ma’atoe Moe took to X and said he was still “100000% Huskers.”
On the field, Nebraska turns its attention to North Dakota, a matchup that comes with an opponent averaging more than 500 yards of total offense and scoring at least 42 points in every game this season. The biggest spotlight in Lincoln this week, though, may belong to volleyball.
Top-ranked Nebraska gets ready for its 25th all-time meeting with No. 20 Creighton, and the Huskers will be carrying momentum from Manaia Ogbechie’s latest honor.
Ogbechie, the Big Ten Player of the Week, helped power Nebraska to a 3-0 stretch against New Mexico, No. 20 Baylor and Georgia Tech.

Last week, the sophomore middle blocker was the only player in the country to hit above .540 with at least 53 swings. Across the three matches, Ogbechie totaled 33 kills on a blistering pace of .547 hitting and added 12 blocks.”
Nebraska’s defense has been a major reason the Huskers are so hard to handle night after night. Through seven matches in 2026, they lead the country with an opposing hitting percentage of .101. They’re also hitting .330 themselves, which ranks fifth nationally and gives Nebraska the second-best hitting percentage difference in college volleyball behind Michigan State.
Creighton brings its own firepower into the matchup. Jaya Johnson is a name Nebraska fans should know as an All-Big East outside hitter, but Trinity Shadd-Ceres and Abbey Hayes have been the Blue Jays’ top offensive threats. Creighton is hitting .177 this season, and opponents are hitting .192 against the Blue Jays.
The match is set for 6 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena and will air on the Big Ten Network.
