NC States Final Home Game Just Got A Tougher Late-Season Test

NC State and Syracuse will face off at noon in what promises to be a pivotal ACC matchup as both teams seek to improve their standings.

NC State’s final home game of the 2026 season now has a kickoff time, and the Wolfpack will wrap up the home slate in familiar fashion.

The ACC announced that NC State’s matchup with Syracuse is set for next Saturday, Nov. 14, at noon on ACC Network. That gives the Wolfpack (4-4, 2-3 ACC) four straight home games with noon kickoffs to close out the schedule at Carter-Finley Stadium.

The Week 11 slate around the league is filling in, too. Florida State’s trip to Pitt was previously announced for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, while several other games now have confirmed windows and TV assignments.

Saturday, November 14

Duke at Miami - Noon ET on ABC

Wake Forest at SMU - Noon ET on ESPN or ESPN2 - network designation after the games of 11/7

Syracuse at NC State - Noon ET on ACC Network

Georgia Tech at Clemson - 12:30 p.m. ET on The CW

California at Virginia - 3:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network

Boston College at Notre Dame - 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock - previously announced

Louisville at North Carolina - 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 or 7:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network - network designation after the games of 11/7

Stanford at Virginia Tech - 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 or 7:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network - network designation after the games of 11/7

Both NC State and Syracuse have had their share of rough patches this season, but both teams head into this one with some momentum. Syracuse, after opening 0-4 in ACC play, has turned things around with back-to-back wins over UNC and SMU, even with close losses to Louisville and Virginia mixed in.

A big reason for that surge has been the return of Steve Angeli at quarterback. He missed more than a month with an injury before coming back against UNC, and since then he has thrown for 456 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions while also adding a rushing score over the last two games.

Ahmad Miller has also become a major spark for the Orange. Over the last three games, he has logged 18 or more carries in each one and piled up 312 rushing yards and four total touchdowns. That production stands in sharp contrast to the previous five games, when he totaled just 114 yards and two touchdowns.

NC State Basketball Opens With Justin Gaineys Biggest Test Just Beginning

Justin Gainey is back in Raleigh with the kind of resume that usually buys a little patience, but the real work starts now. The former Wolfpack player has 20 years of Division 1 coaching experience and returns as NC States head coach after a long run in the game, with the program trying to build something sturdier in the ACC. A 2-0 preseason exhibition stretch offered an early glimpse, but exhibitions only go so far once the results start counting.

Campbell is up next to open the regular season, and Gainey has made it clear the job is about more than one night or one opponent. For NC State, the focus is on culture, development and steadily raising the floor of a roster that needs to grow into the season. The opener will be the first real measure of how much of that message has already taken hold. [Read more 🡒]

NC State Faces A Brutal Test In A Rivalry They Need Back

NC State gets a quick turn from its win over California to a rivalry game that feels like it could say a lot about where the Wolfpack are headed. With interim head coach Todd Goebbel guiding the team and quarterback CJ Bailey still the key figure on offense, the next challenge comes at home against Duke in an ACC matchup that carries more than the usual neighborhood edge.

For NC State, this is about more than just another conference game. Duke arrives with quarterback Walker Eget and running back Nate Sheppard giving the Blue Devils a balanced look, and both teams have postseason momentum in mind as the season moves deeper into November. The Wolfpack would love nothing more than to reclaim some pride in a rivalry that has tilted away from them lately, but they will have to do it against a Duke team that has been tough to shake. NC State Just Delivered The Response Fans Needed Most

NC State walked into a week of upheaval and came out with the kind of performance that can steady a season. With interim head coach Todd Goebbel making his debut and Charlton Warren taking over the defense, the Wolfpack handled California 31-10 in a game that felt bigger than the scoreboard, especially for a team trying to reset its footing after the coaching changes.

The defense set the tone early and kept Cal from finding any rhythm, while the offense pulled away with 21 unanswered points in the second half. For a locker room looking for a clean answer after a turbulent stretch, this was exactly the sort of response that mattered most, even if the larger questions around the program are still waiting to be answered.
