NC State got another weekly honor from the ACC after its 41-31 win over Appalachian State, with Teague Andersen being named the league’s Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Andersen’s recognition comes a week after Keenan Jackson was named ACC Receiver of the Week following his loss to Vanderbilt, giving the Wolfpack a second straight weekly award from the conference.
According to GoPack.com, Andersen started the season at right tackle before shifting to center after the injury to Spike Sowells Jr. In the win over the Mountaineers, he graded out at a team-high 92.77 percent, posted five pancake blocks and was on the field for 82 snaps.
He also helped anchor an NC State offensive line that powered the Wolfpack to 459 total yards, including 206 on the ground.
Andersen’s path to Raleigh has been a steady climb. He signed with Utah State in the 2022 recruiting cycle and redshirted that season.
In 2023, he appeared in all 12 games and made seven starts, with five at right tackle, one at left tackle and one at center. He kept building last fall, starting all 12 games at right tackle and logging nearly 800 snaps.
Andersen finished that season as Utah State’s top pass blocker with an 81.3 grade from PFF.
After the 2024 season, he entered the transfer portal. With offensive line coach Garett Tujague leading the effort, NC State moved quickly, brought him in for a December official visit and landed his commitment shortly after.
Last fall, Andersen gave the Wolfpack a steady presence up front. His PFF grades were nearly unchanged year over year, moving from 67.7 to 66.5.
Before college, Andersen was a standout at Lehi in Utah. He helped lead the team to an 11-3 record and a state championship as a senior, earned first-team all-region honors as both a junior and senior, and picked up Class 5A first-team all-state recognition in his final year. He was a three-star recruit and the 35th-ranked player in Utah, according to 247Sports.

NC States Louisville Game Plan Just Got Much More Complicated
Louisvilles preparation for NC State has taken an immediate turn, with head coach Jeff Brohm saying quarterback Lincoln Kienholz is a game-time decision after suffering an injury in the Cardinals recent loss. Kienholz has been an important part of Louisvilles offense, so his status adds a layer of uncertainty to a matchup the Wolfpack already had reason to study closely.
For NC State, the challenge now is less about one opponent and more about two possible versions of the same offense. If Kienholz cannot go, Louisville could turn to backup Davin Wydner or Briggs Cherry, forcing the Wolfpack to account for a different rhythm, different tendencies and a different kind of preparation right up until kickoff. NC State Had Several Players Step Up When This Game Got Tight
NC State got the kind of win that can settle a team down for a week, even if it took a little more work than it appeared it might early on. The Wolfpack beat App State 41-31 and moved back to .500, with several players making sure the night did not turn into one of those frustrating losses where a lead slips away and nobody can quite stop the momentum.
Keenan Jackson, Popo Aguirre, Jackson Vick, CJ Bailey and Duke Scott all had a hand in keeping the game pointed NC States way when App State pushed back late.
