NC State has landed on the official visit list for one of the 2027 class’s most intriguing frontcourt prospects.
Four-star power forward Ian Condon is scheduled to visit the Wolfpack this fall, according to multiple reports, though the exact date has not been set. NC State joins a growing group of schools set to host him as his recruitment starts to take shape.
Condon already has four official visits lined up. Syracuse will get the first crack on Sept. 1, followed by Boston College on Sept.
11, Notre Dame on Sept. 18 and Northwestern on Oct. 2.
NC State’s visit remains to be determined.
The Wolfpack offered Condon on June 3, and the upcoming trip gives the staff a chance to sell its vision in person during a key stretch of his recruitment.
247Sports has Condon ranked among the nation’s top frontcourt players, slotting him at No. 89 overall, No. 13 among power forwards and No. 1 in Washington, D.C. ESPN and Rivals both currently view him as a three-star prospect, but 247Sports is clearly higher on his long-term upside.
Condon plays at Sidwell Friends School, a program known for producing Division I talent, and he backed up the hype with a strong junior season. He averaged 20.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 55% from the field and 45% from three-point range.
That perimeter touch is what makes him stand out. At 6-foot-7 and 245 pounds, Condon has the size of a bruising interior forward, but he also knocked down 45% of his three-point attempts on 158 shots from deep. That kind of volume and efficiency is rare for a player with his build, and it gives him a profile that fits the modern power forward mold.
After the season, Condon was named to the DCSAA All-State First Team, adding another line to a résumé that already has him established as one of the top players in the District of Columbia.
