Nashville Predators bolster their roster by securing emerging talent Zachary LHeureux with a two-year deal, spotlighting his promising NHL and AHL performance.

Nashville, Tenn. - The Nashville Predators are locking in young talent, as General Manager Barry Trotz announced a fresh two-year, $1.75 million deal for forward Zachary L’Heureux. At just 22 years old, L’Heureux is already making his mark in the NHL.

This season, L’Heureux has suited up for 10 games with the Predators, notching his first goal of the year on March 7 against Buffalo. With an average of 11:51 on the ice per game and a +3 rating, he's proving to be a reliable presence.

Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 197 pounds, L’Heureux was called up from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) in late February, where he’s been an offensive force. In 28 games with Milwaukee, he’s tallied 28 points, including 14 goals, ranking him fourth among his teammates.

His hot streak from January 23 to February 18 saw him score in eight consecutive games, contributing two game-winning goals and a power-play goal.

Drafted by Nashville in the first round (27th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft, L’Heureux made his NHL debut on October 22, 2024, against Boston. He wrapped up his rookie season with 15 points in 62 games, leading all NHL rookies in penalty minutes and hits. His physical play and tenacity have been a hallmark of his game, as seen in his 198 hits during that first season.

Beyond the NHL, L’Heureux has been a standout in the AHL with 81 points in 98 career games for Milwaukee, and he’s shined in the Calder Cup Playoffs with 15 points in 15 games. Before turning pro, he was a force in the QMJHL with the Halifax Mooseheads and Moncton Wildcats, amassing 190 points over 167 games.
