Nashville, Tenn. - In an exciting move for the Nashville Predators, General Manager Barry Trotz has announced the recall of forwards Zachary L’Heureux and Matthew Wood from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL).
Zachary L’Heureux, at just 22, has been making waves in the AHL this season. Over 28 games, he's racked up 14 goals and 27 points, securing his spot as the second-highest scorer for Milwaukee.
Notably, L’Heureux went on a career-high eight-game point streak from late January to February, contributing five goals and four assists, including two game-winners and a power-play goal. In the 2024-25 season, he made his NHL debut and played 62 games for the Predators, tallying 15 points.
Known for his physical play, he led all NHL rookies in hits and was second in penalty minutes.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Matthew Wood is carving out his path in his first full NHL season. In 46 games, he’s netted nine goals and 17 points.
Wood's standout moment came with his first career hat trick against the NY Rangers in November, a month where he led all NHL rookies in goals. His performance against St.
Louis saw him become the seventh rookie in team history to achieve a +4 rating in a game. Wood has also contributed a goal and three assists in five games with the Admirals this season.
