Ashley Fleming is the newest name headed for the Mizzou Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026, and the former Missouri softball infielder earned the nod by doing exactly what the Tigers needed during one of the program’s strongest stretches.
Missouri was in the Women’s College World Series three straight years from 2009 through 2011, and Fleming was a major part of that run. In 2011, she led the team with a .365 batting average and collected multiple All-American honors along the way. For a player who helped anchor that era, the Hall of Fame call feels like a fitting next stop.
Fleming is the second member announced for Mizzou’s Hall of Fame Class of 2026, joining Nick Bolton.
On the football side, Mizzou picked up another piece for its 2027 recruiting class when wide receiver Charles “Tre” Britton III committed Tuesday evening. Britton chose the Tigers over in-state Michigan.
Baseball has also been busy shaping its future roster, with several additions carrying local ties. St.
Louis native Adam Kilburn is headed to Columbia after coming over from San Jacinto CC, giving Mizzou another junior college arm to work with. The right-hander logged 15 strikeouts over 14.0 innings in 2026 and becomes the second JUCO standout to join the Tigers, alongside Ty Waid.
Mizzou also landed St. Peters native Charlie Wortham, a catcher who began his college career at Mississippi State after coming out of De Smet Jesuit High School.
Perfect Game ranked Wortham as the top catching prospect in Missouri, but a crowded situation in Starkville led to a redshirt season and a move. He arrives at Mizzou as the Tigers’ third pickup from an SEC program and enters with second-year eligibility available.

Missouris defense is already built around older, more proven pieces, but two young defenders are starting to look like names worth filing away for later. Redshirt freshman defensive end Daeden Hopkins and safety Blair both fit the profile of players who are not quite ready to carry big weekly loads, but have shown enough tools to suggest they will matter down the road.
Hopkins got into four games in 2025 to keep his redshirt intact and still flashed with his first-year production, while Blair arrived from Notre Dame with the kind of size and athleticism that can change how a secondary is built.
