Mizzou has its three representatives set for SEC Football Media Days, and the group gives a pretty clear snapshot of where the Tigers are heading into the 2026 event in Tampa from July 20-23.
Cayden Green will be one of the faces of the program. A season ago, he was Mizzou’s starting left tackle and logged 750 snaps there. Before that, he worked at guard for MU in 2024 after transferring in from Oklahoma.
Jamal Roberts is also headed to Tampa. Listed as Mizzou’s No. 2 running back, he’s the kind of player who would likely be a No. 1 option on plenty of other rosters. Roberts finished with 753 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground, and his workload could grow depending on Ahmad Hardy’s availability.
The third Tiger making the trip is Nicholas Rodriguez. In 2025, he played 352 defensive snaps at linebacker and finished with 62 total tackles, 4 TFL’s and 1.5 sacks. His role is expected to expand with Josiah Trotter and Khalil Jacobs now in the NFL, while Triston Newson has graduated.
Elsewhere for Mizzou, baseball added another name to its future roster on Tuesday when Jadyn Furgason officially signed with the program. Furgason, who is from the St. Louis area, recently competed at Texas before signing back in the Show-Me State.
On the football side, Texas is also looming as a major talking point. Nate Edwards’ deep dive noted that it’s one of the few teams Eli Drinkwitz has not coached against, and that getting a Manning-led offense with impact transfers on both sides of the ball late in the season, when playoff hopes are on the line, makes for a tough first assignment. Mizzou’s 2011 win over Texas in Columbia is part of the backdrop, but this year’s Longhorns are described as a much tougher group than the one that came to Faurot Field 15 years ago.

The Nike EYBL regular season wrapped in Las Vegas, and Missouris Class of 2027 board got a fresh look right before Peach Jam. Several of the Tigers top targets were in the mix during the final session, helping their teams punch tickets to Augusta while also giving Mizzou a better read on who is trending upward as the summer circuit reaches its biggest stage.
For Missouri, the timing matters because these are the kinds of evaluations that can shift quickly once the best teams and prospects are all in one place. Mizzou Sets Hall Of Fame Class That Tigers Fans Will Love
Mizzou is adding another familiar group of names to its Athletics Hall of Fame, and this one should land especially well with Tigers fans who followed the program through recent high points. The Class of 2026 includes football standouts Nick Bolton, Drew Lock and Andy Hill, along with softballs Ashley Fleming, wrestlings Daniel Lewis and track and fields Nicki Webber Moore, giving the department a six-person class that spans several of its most recognizable programs.
The celebration is set for Oct. 9 in Columbia, with another round of recognition planned during the home game against Texas A&M the next day. For Mizzou, the timing fits neatly into a fall calendar already packed with reminders of the schools athletic history, and it also gives the program a chance to spotlight the kind of competitors and leaders it wants associated with the black and gold.
