Missouri’s homecoming date with Florida now has a start time.
The SEC announced Monday that the Tigers’ Oct. 3 matchup with the Gators will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and air on ESPN or ABC. The exact network will be determined after this weekend’s games, but the league has already locked in the game as an afternoon window.
It will be Missouri’s homecoming game and its first home contest against an SEC opponent this season. The Tigers had been waiting on a “flex” designation when the conference schedule came out, leaving the kickoff window open between afternoon and evening. Now, Missouri knows it will be its first non-evening kickoff of the year.
Before Florida comes to Columbia, though, Mizzou has a trip to handle. Missouri, ranked No. 21 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and No. 19 in the AP Top 25, heads to Starkville, Mississippi, to face Mississippi State on Saturday, Sept.
- That game is set for 6:45 p.m. at Davis Wade Stadium.
Missouri enters that stretch at 3-0 after an uneven 27-17 win over Troy this past Saturday. The Tigers started the season with a win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, then followed it with a Border War victory at Kansas in Week 2.
Florida is also 3-0 under first-year head coach Jon Sumrall. The Gators won at Auburn on Saturday and will host Ole Miss this coming weekend.
According to the Mizzou website, the homecoming parade is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in downtown Columbia.
Missouri’s full schedule now includes the Florida game in an afternoon slot, with the rest of the Tigers’ conference slate still carrying a mix of listed times and TBDs.

Missouris womens golf team has given itself a real chance to make its home event count, opening the Johnie Imes Invitational by taking the lead after two rounds at 9-under par. The Tigers have been steady across the board, with senior Addie Dobson setting the pace for the group and other Missouri names, including Melanie Walker and Addie Surber, sitting near the top of the board as the tournament heads to its final day.
Dobson has separated herself from the field and put Missouri in position to turn a solid start into something more meaningful, especially with the final round still to play.
