Wild Unveil A New Look Built To Divide The State Of Hockey

With an eye on community pride and local culture, the Minnesota Wild's new Hometown Remix uniforms promise to bring a celestial touch to the ice this season.

The Minnesota Wild are getting a new look for the 2026-27 season, and this one is built around the state itself.

The team, the NHL and Fanatics unveiled the Wild’s Hometown Remix uniform, along with matching apparel and headwear, on Tuesday. Minnesota will wear the new uniforms 10 times during the season, starting Tuesday, November 17, when it hosts the Nashville Predators at 7 p.m.

The full schedule of Hometown Remix games includes home dates against Colorado on Friday, November 27 at 3 p.m., Winnipeg on Saturday, December 12 at 2:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 26 at 6 p.m., St. Louis on Saturday, January 2 at 6 p.m., Florida on Thursday, January 14 at 8:30 p.m., Detroit on Thursday, January 21 at 8 p.m., Pittsburgh on Tuesday, February 23 at 7 p.m. and Calgary on Friday, March 19 at 7 p.m.

The lone road game on the list comes Thursday, December 10 at Columbus at 6 p.m. All times are CST.

The design leans hard into Minnesota’s identity as the State of Hockey. The Wild crest gets a crescent moon on a bold black base, while the sleeves feature debossed Ursa Major and Ursa Minor constellations. The numbers include two twin stars to represent the Twin Cities, and the hem nods to the state’s natural wilderness.

The club said the jersey was meant to reflect the place and the people who live there.

“The Wild’s Hometown Remix jersey was created for our fans and everyone who calls Minnesota home,” said Todd Frederickson, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Minnesota Wild. “We’re excited to add these jerseys to our lineup this season. They reflect the unique culture, character and hockey heritage that make the State of Hockey unlike anywhere else.”

Brian Jennings, NHL Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Partnerships and Club Strategy Officer, said the project was designed to connect each market to its own story.

“Few symbols in sports carry the history, pride, and emotional connection of an NHL sweater,” said Brian Jennings, NHL Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Partnerships and Club Strategy Officer. “Hometown Remix builds on that legacy in a fresh and authentic way, celebrating the fans, culture and communities that make each NHL market unique.

Together with Fanatics and our Clubs, we’ve created designs that are rooted in local identity and tell a story about the cities and fans they represent. We’re incredibly excited to bring the program to life and see that passion reflected both on the ice and in the stands.”

Fanatics also pointed to the collaboration behind the collection.

“Hometown Remix represents the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice with the NHL in 2024,” said Dom Fillion, Vice President of Creative Design for Fanatics. “What makes this program so special is the collaboration with each club and together leaning into the history, culture, fabric and identity of every city and fan base to make sure these felt as authentic and personal as possible. We can’t wait to see them worn by the teams on the ice and the fans in the stands all season long.”

The Hometown Remix line is available now through Fanatics sites including NHLShop.com, NHLShop.ca and Fanatics.com, as well as team stores and the NHL Shop NYC flagship store. The collection includes both the Authentic Pro and Premium versions of the jersey, along with headwear and men’s and women’s fan gear such as hoodies, tees, and new fleece and outerwear styles.

Wild Have One Big Reason To Believe This Start Can Last

The Wild got through October with a 9-3-3 record even while dealing with injuries and missing key players, and the early returns have given them a real foundation to build on. A big part of that has been Kirill Kaprizov driving the offense, while the group as a whole has stayed disciplined enough to avoid giving away momentum on a nightly basis.

Maxim Shabanov has also fit in quietly, adding another layer to a lineup that has found ways to keep producing without being at full strength. The next test comes in a short stretch from Nov. 2 through Nov. 9, with games against the Flyers, Sharks and Lightning offering a good look at whether this start can keep holding up once the schedule starts asking a little more of them. Wild Fans Should Be Watching Bill Guerin Closely Right Now

The Quinn Hughes situation around Minnesota has settled into the kind of holding pattern that keeps a front office on edge. Elliotte Friedman said there is no new information on the defensemans contract status, and Hughes still has not committed to an extension, leaving Bill Guerin with limited options as the Wild try to figure out what comes next.

For Minnesota, the uncertainty matters because it shapes everything from patience to timing to how aggressively the team can plan around the blue line. Friedman has floated the possibility of trade considerations, but with no concrete development and no extension clarity in sight, the Wild are left waiting for a signal that has not arrived.
