Quinn Hughes Stuns Fans With Upcoming SNL Appearance This Weekend

Hockey standout Quinn Hughes is set to bring his on-ice charisma to the Saturday Night Live stage following his Olympic gold triumph with Team USA.

Minnesota Wild defenseman Quinn Hughes is set for a star-studded weekend, making an appearance on Saturday Night Live following his triumphant Olympic gold medal win with Team USA. This exciting news, initially shared by the Wild’s broadcast network and confirmed by team president Bill Guerin, has fans buzzing as Hughes will join host Connor Storrie of Heated Rivalry at NBC Studios in New York City.

The weekend doesn’t stop there for Hughes. He’s also slated to tape an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday afternoon, alongside his brother and gold-medal game overtime hero, Jack Hughes. There’s even talk of both Hughes brothers making a joint appearance on SNL if the Devils can return to New Jersey in time after their game against the Blues.

Quinn’s schedule is packed. After playing Friday night in Utah, he’ll have just enough time to get back for SNL’s 11:30 p.m.

ET start. The turnaround for Fallon’s show on Monday is even tighter, with the Wild having games on both Sunday and Tuesday.

Hughes was a standout during the Olympics, leading Team USA in scoring with eight points and notching at least one point in every game. His NHL season has been equally impressive, with five goals and 58 points over 53 games split between the Wild and Vancouver Canucks.

The past few days have been a whirlwind for the U.S. men’s team following their victory over Canada. After celebrating in Miami, several players, including the Hughes brothers, spent time in Washington, D.C., visiting the White House and attending the state of the union speech at the invitation of President Donald Trump.

Most players returned to their NHL teams on Wednesday as the season resumed post-Olympics. Hughes wasted no time making an impact, contributing an assist in the Wild’s 5-2 victory over the division-rival Colorado Avalanche.
