Jared Goff has become the kind of quarterback coaches point to when they want to talk about toughness, and Dan Campbell made it clear the Lions see him that way.
Goff has not missed a game since 2021, and Campbell said the Detroit quarterback keeps going even when he is not at full strength. The Lions coach praised Goff’s durability, his willingness to push through pain, and the way he handles the day-to-day grind.
“He’s durable, he’s tough, he’s resistant, resilient. And he’s been that way.
He’s really been that way his whole career,” Campbell said, via ProFootballTalk. “And I know there have been some of these and doesn’t mean that things won’t come up, but there is.
And look, he plays through things too now. That’s the other thing, and I guess that plays into the toughness.
There are things that he gets that people don’t even know about that he goes out there and plays and he’s good. But I mean, during the week, it’s not like he feels good.
But he doesn’t complain about it. He doesn’t miss practice.
He’s going to be out there because he’s our captain, he’s our leader. And he knows that for him, it’s an accountability thing.
‘Well, if I say that something hurts a little bit and I don’t go out there to practice, well then I can’t say anything to the next guy that’s got a little bump and bruise.’ So, it says a lot, it means a lot.
And you’ve got to be tough at that position. And our guy is, it says a ton.”
In Green Bay, the Packers are trying to patch things up after injuries and uneven play, and one of their newest additions is a familiar name with a deep personal connection to the franchise. Veteran offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler joined the group, and he sounded genuinely fired up about landing with the team he grew up rooting for.
“It’s pretty cool,” Zeitler said, via the team’s website. “Growing up a big Pack fan, enjoying the Brett Favre eras and all that - just to come back and kind of know the history, be back in the state of Wisconsin, it’s pretty great.
My family’s pretty excited. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
“Obviously, being on the other side of it, it’s going to be cool to be a part of it, be a part of that passionate group.”
“I still love ball. I really do.
There’s a time retirement will come and football will go away, but not yet. Since I have the ability to do it, I might as well.”
Packers coach Matt LaFleur also addressed a pair of key roster issues. On defensive tackle Warren Brinson’s groin injury, LaFleur said, “Unfortunately, I think he’s gonna miss a significant amount of time.
All he did was slip, and injuries occur and a lot of times it’s non-contact.” LaFleur then said the team is still sorting through its offensive line plans: “We have a plan in place right now.
We have one more practice. Get through that and finalize our decisions.”

In Minnesota, the Vikings are still unbeaten, but the offense has not fully clicked yet. Kyler Murray isn’t sounding alarmed, though. He pointed to the early stage of the season and the reality that the group has already dealt with his concussion and the loss of Justin Jefferson to an ankle injury.
“I mean, it’s only Week 3,” Murray said, via The Athletic. “That was my first game, realistically.
And (Jefferson) went down. I think we’re going to get better each week.
I think that’s what our plan is.”

Dolphins Vikings Game Had A Wild Referee Moment Fans Need To See
The Vikings meeting with the Dolphins had plenty going on, but one of the most replayed moments had nothing to do with a catch or a turnover. Late in the action, NFL referee Adrian Hill got caught in the middle of a tackle and was knocked to the turf by Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson, a collision that quickly turned an ordinary officiating sequence into the kind of scene fans kept sending around.
Hill stayed down briefly before getting back to his feet and confronting Wilson, with another official stepping in to separate things. The clip spread quickly on social media and drew a mix of reactions, the sort of unintended sideline drama that can take on a life of its own long after the game settles into the final score. Vikings Keep Winning Despite One Offensive Problem Fans Can't Ignore
The Vikings keep stacking wins even as the offense has struggled to put together the kind of full-field performance fans usually expect from a contender. Minnesota has won three straight games without cracking 250 total yards in any of them, an unusual run in the Super Bowl era, but the results have held up because the rest of the roster has carried its weight.
Under Kevin OConnell, the formula has leaned on a strong defense, steady special teams and a team-wide emphasis on avoiding turnovers. It is a reminder that ugly box scores do not always stop a good team, especially when the other phases are doing enough to keep the Vikings in control. [Read more 🡒]
Jauan Jennings Faces Real Vikings Pressure In A Huge Opportunity
With Justin Jefferson ruled out for the matchup with the Miami Dolphins because of an ankle injury, the Vikings are suddenly leaning on a receiver room that looks a lot different than it did a week ago. Jordan Addison is now set to step into the WR1 role, and the ripple effect pushes Jauan Jennings into a much larger WR2 assignment, giving him one of the clearest chances yet to justify the playing time he has already been getting.
Jennings arrived with real expectations after signing his recent contract, but the production has not matched the opportunity so far. Minnesota does not have the luxury of easing into this one, either, because the offense needs someone beyond Addison to help absorb Jeffersons absence and keep the passing game moving against Miami. For Jennings, it is the kind of spot that can change the tone around a season quickly, even if the full answer is still waiting to be written. [Read more 🡒]
