The Minnesota Vikings added two offensive linemen through the waiver wire after the NFL announced claims more than two hours past the 11:00 AM Central time deadline.
Per numerous reports, Minnesota was awarded center Nick Samac and guard Trevor Keegan. The team has not yet announced the corresponding roster moves needed to get both players onto the 53-man roster.
Samac, pronounced SAY-mack, entered the league as a seventh-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Michigan State. He spent his rookie season on Baltimore’s practice squad, then was waived by the Ravens after camp in 2025, signed back to their practice squad, and later landed on the Carolina Panthers’ active roster. He played in 11 games for Carolina in 2025, with all of his snaps coming on special teams.
Keegan came into the NFL as a fifth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 NFL Draft after his college career at the University of Michigan. He earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2022 and Second-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2023, then was part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team in 2024.
He appeared in one game that season. Keegan was waived by Philadelphia in August of 2025, claimed by the Dallas Cowboys, and played in two games for Dallas before going on injured reserve with a neck injury.
None of the players Minnesota waived on Sunday to reach the 53-man roster were claimed by other teams.
