The Minnesota Vikings kept Tristan Leigh in the building on Monday, adding the rookie offensive lineman to their practice squad a day after waiving him during roster cuts.
Leigh gives Minnesota a seasoned developmental tackle with real college mileage. At Clemson, he started at left tackle in each of his final three seasons and finished his career with 42 appearances, 33 starts, and 2,202 offensive snaps. He also emerged as one of the Tigers’ more vocal leaders over his last two years.

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported the move on X and pointed to Leigh’s pedigree and college role.

Minnesota had released Leigh on Sunday after he logged more than 100 snaps at both tackle spots in the preseason. The team can now keep developing him without using a 53-man roster spot, and it also preserves the option to elevate him if injuries force the issue later in the season.
The Vikings made more offensive line moves Monday as well, claiming guard Trevor Keegan and center Nick Samac off waivers. Those additions came after center Michael Jurgens was moved to injured reserve and Walter Rouse was traded to the New England Patriots.
Leigh will head into the 2026 season behind Christian Darrisaw, Brian O'Neill, and the rest of Minnesota’s active-roster tackles. The Vikings open the year on September 13 against the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium.
