The Detroit Lions have moved on from Terrion Arnold, cutting the veteran cornerback on Monday after his arrest and the felony charges tied to kidnapping and burglary.
The decision came after a week that had already pushed Arnold’s future with the team into serious doubt. Last week, he was arrested and charged with multiple felonies, and the allegations stem from an incident that took place in February. According to the source, Arnold is facing four charges of both kidnapping and burglary after he allegedly “[orchestrated] the abduction and beating of three men whom prosecutors believe he wrongly suspected of having stolen luxury goods and $100,000 in cash from him.”
Before Detroit pulled the plug, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Arnold might still have been able to take part in training camp this summer after a Tampa, Florida, court “ denied the government’s request” to hold him without bond and “refused to impose an ankle bracelet as a condition of bond.” That possibility disappeared quickly once the Lions made their roster move.
Arnold had denied involvement after details of the February incident first became public, but police later said they had enough evidence to connect him to the alleged crimes.
If the case goes against him, the consequences could be severe. The source says a conviction could bring a sentence of life in prison.
Arnold was the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft after a three-year run at Alabama, where he picked up multiple All-American and All-SEC honors. He played in 24 games over two seasons in Detroit, starting 22 of them.

Vikings Fans Will Want To See This Coach Mention Bodycam Twist
A routine traffic stop turned into an awkward little footnote for a Vikings-connected name when Dianna Russini was pulled over for texting while driving. During the stop, she identified herself as an NFL reporter and showed the officer a text exchange with Minnesota coach Kevin OConnell, a detail that gives the scene a familiar purple-and-gold tint even if the issue itself had nothing to do with football.
The bodycam footage has since added another layer to the story, and not the flattering kind for Russini. The officer ultimately gave her a break on the cellphone violation, leaving the episode as one of those odd NFL-adjacent moments that lands in a gray area between personal mistake and league-world curiosity, with Vikings fans likely paying closer attention than most. Vikings Fans Have A New Leak Mystery They Can't Ignore
A new bodycam video has given Vikings followers another reason to wonder how information moves around the building and out into the public. The clip shows NFL reporter Dianna Russini during a traffic stop, and it comes after a January interaction that already had fans looking twice at the timing of her reporting, especially with the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota both in the middle of major organizational churn.
The latest interest only grew after Russini and a colleague published details tied to Kwesi Adofo-Mensahs paternity leave, then Russini later tried to clarify on social media that the Vikings supported him through the process. For a fan base already used to parsing every bit of front-office noise, the bigger question now is not just what was reported, but where it came from and how close to the top of the organization those conversations really went.
