Week 4 is bringing a fresh round of wide receiver injury drama, and a few of the biggest fantasy names are right in the middle of it. Justin Jefferson is out, Mike Evans is hanging on as questionable, and Zay Flowers is still working through a hamstring issue after being active last week. Add in several other notable receivers, and Sunday’s slate is shaping up to hinge on late-week availability.
Jefferson’s situation was the cleanest and the most frustrating for fantasy managers. After hurting his ankle last week, he never got on the practice field at all this week and has already been ruled out for Sunday.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell said Jefferson is feeling better, but he “just couldn’t get there” for this week. With Jefferson sidelined, Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings are the main names to watch, and T.J.
Hockenson should also see a bump in opportunity.
Evans gave Tampa Bay a scare in Week 3 when a rib injury knocked him out early, and the pain sounded as bad as it looked. He sat out Wednesday and Thursday before getting in a limited practice on Friday and landing on the questionable list.
Evans described the injury as “felt like somebody stabbed me in the chest,” and said he will “do my best” to play. He added, “It was brutal to play through, but it’s something that I can do,” though the concern here is obvious: if he suits up, the chance of aggravating it and leaving early again is real.
If Evans can’t go, Deebo Samuel becomes the No. 1 target in San Francisco.
Flowers, meanwhile, looked like he was trending in the right direction after a full practice Thursday, but Friday brought a limited session and a questionable designation. He’s dealing with a hamstring issue, though he told reporters Wednesday, “I think we’ll be good.
I think we’ll be alright,” and said he believes there won’t be any limitations moving forward. There’s been no sign of a setback, and after playing last week, he appears to have a better shot than not.
If he’s out, Rashod Bateman would step in as Baltimore’s top wideout.
Jalen Coker is another name worth tracking. He picked up a quadriceps injury in Week 3 and didn’t return, then followed that up with two limited practices to close the week.
He enters Sunday as questionable, and head coach Dave Canales said Coker will be evaluated during a workout on Saturday. If he can’t play, Tetairoa McMillan should be heavily targeted, with Carolina lacking another reliable receiver.
Ladd McConkey also showed up on the injury report again, this time with a foot issue. The Chargers receiver was limited Wednesday, sat Thursday, then returned to a limited practice Friday before being listed as questionable.
Jim Harbaugh didn’t offer much when asked about McConkey’s status, saying, “I don’t know. I just know his designation today,” but that Friday workout at least gives him a better chance than not to suit up.
If he’s inactive, Quentin Johnston and Tre’ Harris should see more work, with Oronde Gadsen also benefiting.
Terry McLaurin was a late addition to the report Friday with a hamstring injury and is questionable after getting hurt in practice. That timing is never a good sign. If he sits, Stefon Diggs becomes the No. 1 wide receiver, and rookie Antonio Williams should get more chances.
DeVonta Smith’s Week 4 status is the most definitive of the group. He’s been dealing with a hamstring issue for a few weeks, played through it last week, and will not go this week after being officially ruled out.
Smith didn’t practice at all, which raises the possibility this could stretch beyond one game. Without him, Dontayvion Wicks should operate as the No. 1 target in Philly, while rookie Makai Lemon and veteran Hollywood Brown are also set for more looks.

Dolphins Vikings Game Had A Wild Referee Moment Fans Need To See
The Vikings meeting with the Dolphins had plenty going on, but one of the most replayed moments had nothing to do with a catch or a turnover. Late in the action, NFL referee Adrian Hill got caught in the middle of a tackle and was knocked to the turf by Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson, a collision that quickly turned an ordinary officiating sequence into the kind of scene fans kept sending around.
Hill stayed down briefly before getting back to his feet and confronting Wilson, with another official stepping in to separate things. The clip spread quickly on social media and drew a mix of reactions, the sort of unintended sideline drama that can take on a life of its own long after the game settles into the final score. Vikings Keep Winning Despite One Offensive Problem Fans Can't Ignore
The Vikings keep stacking wins even as the offense has struggled to put together the kind of full-field performance fans usually expect from a contender. Minnesota has won three straight games without cracking 250 total yards in any of them, an unusual run in the Super Bowl era, but the results have held up because the rest of the roster has carried its weight.
Under Kevin OConnell, the formula has leaned on a strong defense, steady special teams and a team-wide emphasis on avoiding turnovers. It is a reminder that ugly box scores do not always stop a good team, especially when the other phases are doing enough to keep the Vikings in control. [Read more 🡒]
Jauan Jennings Faces Real Vikings Pressure In A Huge Opportunity
With Justin Jefferson ruled out for the matchup with the Miami Dolphins because of an ankle injury, the Vikings are suddenly leaning on a receiver room that looks a lot different than it did a week ago. Jordan Addison is now set to step into the WR1 role, and the ripple effect pushes Jauan Jennings into a much larger WR2 assignment, giving him one of the clearest chances yet to justify the playing time he has already been getting.
Jennings arrived with real expectations after signing his recent contract, but the production has not matched the opportunity so far. Minnesota does not have the luxury of easing into this one, either, because the offense needs someone beyond Addison to help absorb Jeffersons absence and keep the passing game moving against Miami. For Jennings, it is the kind of spot that can change the tone around a season quickly, even if the full answer is still waiting to be written. [Read more 🡒]
