The Twins’ farm system had a busy Monday, but only one club actually took the field - and the DSL Twins took a beating.
Minnesota also shuffled a few names around the organization. St.
Paul moved RHP Raul Brito to the Development List, while OF Kala'i Rosario was assigned to Wichita from the Saints and RHP Ruddy Gomez went to St. Paul from Wichita.
The Twins also released OF Maddux Houghton from Wichita and RHP Nick Trabacchi from Cedar Rapids. Cedar Rapids activated LHP Ross Dunn from the 60-Day Injured List, Matthew Dalquist and IF Bryan Acuna came off the Fort Myers Injured List, and UT Harry Genth landed on the 7-Day IL.
St. Paul is coming off a strong 4-2 week at home against Columbus and now heads to Omaha.
The Saints and Storm Chasers split their mid-June series in St. Paul, though that set opened with a 21-2 rout by the Saints.
Omaha’s roster still leans light on premium prospects, with RHP Ben Kudrna standing out as the Royals’ No. 18 prospect, but he won’t pitch because he is still recovering from olecranon stress fracture fixation surgery. The Saints will also see some familiar faces in Dan Altavilla and Justin Topa.
Wichita also had a productive week, finishing 5-1 against Midland before heading to Springfield to face the Cardinals. Springfield’s roster includes two top-100 prospects in C/1B Rainiel Rodriguez and LHP Liam Doyle.
Rodriguez has hit .268/.360/.449 with nine home runs in 52 Double-A games, while Doyle has made 16 starts and carries a 4.91 ERA, a 27.9% strikeout rate, and a 13.9% walk rate. Another name to watch is LHP Brandon Clarke, who is working back from injury and can reach triple digits, even up to 103 mph.
Cedar Rapids had a rougher week, going 1-5 in Dayton, and now gets Peoria at home. The Kernels and Chiefs met in mid-May, with Cedar Rapids going 2-4 in that series. Peoria, another Cardinals affiliate, features SS/OF Tai Peete, who has hit .283/.352/.579, and Midwest League Player of the Week Jack Gurevitch, who is now batting .308/.377/.552 in 54 games.
Fort Myers is also back home after a 4-3 week in St. Lucie and will host Palm Beach.
That gives the Twins another Cardinals affiliate matchup, with SS Yairo Padilla as the top-ranked Cardinals prospect on the Palm Beach roster. The switch hitter has played 12 games at Single-A and is hitting .304/.373/.522 with seven stolen bases.
The FCL Twins’ season is done, so the DSL Twins were the only team in action Monday, and the result was ugly: a 10-0 loss to the Giants.
The third inning did most of the damage. Arthur De La Cruz gave up the first run-scoring hit, a double by Diego Alambarrio, and the inning snowballed from there.
De La Cruz worked 1 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, four runs, three earned, two walks, and two strikeouts. Miguel Martinez followed, but Alexander Camacaro’s two-run homer kept the pressure on.
Martinez also went 1 1/3 innings, allowing two hits, four runs, three earned, two walks, and two strikeouts.
Offensively, the Twins had one of their better chances in the second inning. Luis Duarte was hit by a pitch, Jeferson Abreu singled, and Luis Suarez walked to load the bases with one out. Misael Rodriguez couldn’t cash it in, grounding into a double play and letting Giants pitcher Randry De Leon escape.
Anibal Beltre was the only Twin with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3. Minnesota did collect seven hits, but never put them together in a way that led to runs. Juan Quinones provided the cleanest work on the mound late, throwing 2 1/3 innings, allowing two hits, no runs, two walks, and one strikeout.
A few Twins prospects also posted notable weeks across the system. Walker Jenkins went .190/.227/.238 with a double, Kaelen Culpepper hit .182/.250/.273 with a double, and Marek Houston turned in a huge line at Wichita at .500/.571/.909 with three doubles and two homers.
Eduardo Tait hit .250/.321/.583 with a triple and two homers, while Kendry Rojas logged 6 1/3 innings with two hits, two earned runs, three walks, and seven strikeouts. Dasan Hill struck out six in 2 2/3 innings, Hendry Mendez hit .313/.389/.500 with a homer, Gabriel Gonzalez hit .250/.308/.500 with three doubles, Khadim Diaw posted a .316/.381/.684 line with four doubles and a homer, Brandon Winokur hit .389/.455/.722 with two homers, Quentin Young hit .185/.233/.444 with a double and two homers, and Ryan Gallagher went five innings with five hits, three earned runs, two walks, and five strikeouts.

The Twins have spent much of the 2026 season trying to keep their pitching staff intact, and the latest reminder came with David Festas shoulder issue adding to a growing list of arms on the shelf. Even so, Minnesota has managed to stay in the American League race, which has made the front offices deadline calculus a little more complicated than a simple sell-or-buy decision.
With Pablo Lopez, Anthony Banda, Mick Abel and Mike Paredes already among the injured, the club is weighing whether its current depth can survive the stretch run or whether it needs another dependable arm to stabilize the staff. Twins Bullpen Just Took A Turn Fans Wont Want To Ignore
Cole Sands latest turn in the Twins bullpen came at an inopportune time, and the club responded by shuffling the relief mix again. After a rough outing in which he got one out and allowed five runs, Sands is back on the injured list, opening the door for Jack Anderson to return from Triple-A St. Paul and take his place on the roster.
Anderson has already given Minnesota a brief look after coming over on waivers from the Boston Red Sox earlier this month, and the Twins will need more stability from that spot as the season moves on. There is also some encouraging news on the position-player side, where prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez has started a rehab assignment following thumb surgery and could still factor into the major league mix later this year.
