The Bucks have filled out Taylor Jenkins’ first coaching staff in Milwaukee, and the team made it official Friday in a press release.
Jenkins, who is taking over as head coach for the 2026/27 season, will have seven assistants on the bench. The group includes Darvin Ham, Pat St.
Andrews, Vince Legarza, Brad Jones, Johnny Carpenter, T.J. Ford and Schuyler Rimmer.
Ham is the biggest name in the bunch and the only holdover from last season’s staff. A former NBA forward and longtime assistant, he spent two years as head coach of the Lakers from 2022-2024 before returning to Milwaukee in the 2024 offseason. This will be his third straight season as a Bucks assistant and his seventh overall with the organization.
St. Andrews also brings a familiar Milwaukee connection. He worked with the Bucks for five seasons from 2018-23, got his start in the NBA with Atlanta, and most recently spent the 2025/26 season in Portland after a two-year run as an assistant in Memphis under Jenkins.
The team said additional details on the rest of the staff are available in its announcement, including Ford, the former Bucks point guard who is entering his first season as an NBA assistant.
Beyond the seven full-time assistants, Jenkins will also have three more staff members in place. Jack Herum is back for his eighth season in Milwaukee and will serve in an assistant coach/player development role. Isaiah Wilkins has been named assistant coach/player development, and Nshan Kenjoian will be the head video coordinator.

Kevin Porter Jr. chose to stay in Milwaukee by exercising his player option for next season, keeping him on a Bucks roster that already has more guards than obvious minutes. Last season, he played 38 games and quickly became one of the teams most useful backcourt pieces, finishing as Milwaukees second-leading scorer while handling a lot of the playmaking burden as the primary ball handler.
The problem is that a productive return does not necessarily make his place secure.
