The LA Clippers have been navigating a challenging stretch, dealing with a series of injuries that have left them shorthanded. As they gear up to face the Milwaukee Bucks, they might find themselves even more depleted.
John Collins, initially expected to play despite a left ankle sprain, saw his status shift from ‘Probable’ to ‘Questionable’ after further evaluation on Monday. This change comes on the heels of an incident in their game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Late in the fourth quarter, Collins rolled his ankle while trying to block Mavs forward Naji Marshall, which led to a foul and his exit from the game due to his sixth personal foul. Despite the setback, Collins contributed eight points, three rebounds, a steal, and two blocks in 29 minutes on the floor.
Adding to the Clippers' concerns, Kawhi Leonard is also listed as ‘Questionable’ with his own left ankle sprain. Leonard, however, showcased his resilience on Saturday, delivering a stellar performance against the Mavericks with 34 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals, shooting 12-of-22 in 36 minutes.
The Bucks, meanwhile, are also dealing with their share of absences. They'll be without their star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is sidelined with a hyperextended left knee and a bone bruise. Kevin Porter Jr. is out as well, and both Kyle Kuzma and Gary Harris are marked as ‘Questionable.’
