The plan was for Antetokounmpo to form a dynamic duo with Turner, a stretch five known for his rim protection. The Bucks hoped Turner would be an upgrade over Brook Lopez. However, this vision hasn't materialized, and Lopez is now likely playoff-bound with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The gamble to stretch Lillard's contract was always a high-risk play. With Lillard set to return next season and Turner's performance not meeting expectations, the move has proven to be a major setback for Jon Horst and the Bucks' front office.
