The Toronto Raptors are taking a look at Andre Jackson Jr. as they continue to shape the roster before training camp next month, signing the former Milwaukee Bucks guard to an Exhibit 10 deal.
"The Toronto Raptors and Andre Jackson Jr. have agreed to a deal, league sources told @HoopsHype. He’ll compete for a roster spot with the Raptors. He spent the past three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks," HoopsHype insider Michael Scotto tweeted.
An Exhibit 10 contract gives a player a one-year, non-guaranteed salary and can also protect G League rights if he’s waived before the regular season begins. In other words, Jackson is walking into camp with a real opportunity, but no safety net.
Jackson’s calling card is easy to see. He’s 6-6, but he plays with the kind of lean, explosive athleticism that jumps out right away. He covers ground fast, brings power in transition, and the Bucks saw enough of that burst to draft him with the No. 36 pick out of UConn in the 2023 NBA Draft.
His length matters too. Jackson’s wingspan sits just under 6-10, and that gave him the tools to defend multiple spots on the floor. Milwaukee leaned into that defensive versatility, even using him mostly as a starter in his second season.
In 67 appearances, Jackson made 43 starts, though his offensive production stayed limited at 3.4 points per game. The Bucks viewed him as the kind of wing who could fit next to Giannis Antetokounmpo, but that picture changed this offseason when Milwaukee underwent major turnover and traded Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat. Jackson’s role faded after that, and he made just one start in the 2025-26 campaign.
For Toronto, the path is simple: Jackson has to earn his place. The Raptors still have an open roster spot, but there’s no guarantee he gets it. The team can also leave a spot open during the season, though they must carry at least 14 players.
At 24, Jackson still has room to grow, and that’s clearly part of what makes him interesting to Toronto. He’ll get his shot in camp, and if he stands out enough, the Raptors can keep him on a two-way deal or bring him onto the full roster.
