The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers are set for their first meeting of the season on Saturday, Oct. 24, with tipoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. The game will air on WCGV/My 24 in Milwaukee and NBC Sports Philadelphia.
The Bucks enter at 0-2, while the 76ers are 2-0. These teams still have two more matchups to play after Saturday’s game, and Milwaukee owns the all-time regular-season edge, 123-107.
The Bucks are 67-49 at home in the series and 56-58 on the road. In 2025-2026, though, Philadelphia swept all four meetings.
Philadelphia’s roster has been reshaped since last season. The Sixers traded Paul George and two first-round picks for Jaylen Brown and then landed LeBron James in free agency.
They also added Dean Wade, Anfernee Simons, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ariel Hukporti. Quentin Grimes, Kelly Oubre and Andre Drummond moved on, and Philadelphia used the 22nd pick in the 2026 NBA Draft on Labaron Philon.
For Milwaukee, the focus has been on cleaning up the defensive problems that showed up in a loss to the Chicago Bulls. Head coach Taylor Jenkins pointed directly to the issues after the game: "Second and third quarter you give up 85 points, transition [defense], can't keep guys in front of us, rotations, 62 points in the paint."
"Just got to do a better job earlier in possessions, so I thought that hurt us. And then there was obviously some possessions where I thought we guarded really well in the halfcourt, just gave up some timely offensive rebounds. Kind of lost a little mojo there after the first [quarter]."

Bucks Trade Picture Gets Clearer As Porzingis Talk Emerges
The trade market around Kristaps Porzingis is getting more complicated, and that matters for a Bucks team that is always scanning for ways to reshape its roster. Porzingis is dealing with recurring symptoms from postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and his contract carries a $20 million cap hit for the next two seasons with the Warriors, which puts real pressure on any team trying to make the math work.
Golden State also has to navigate salary cap constraints and player trade eligibility rules, which makes moving Porzingis far from simple even before a deal is built. Around the league, names like Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Black are surfacing in broader trade conversations too, a reminder that the next wave of movement could depend as much on contract structure as on talent, and the Bucks will be watching closely as that picture comes into focus. Former Bucks Guard Malik Beasley Faces New Questions About His NBA Future
Former Bucks guard Malik Beasley is suddenly dealing with a far different kind of offseason than the one he likely envisioned, as federal court records show he is in talks with prosecutors over charges tied to an alleged gambling scheme involving his NBA performances during the 2023-24 season. Beasley initially pleaded not guilty, but the docket now indicates he intends to change that plea, while his attorney has said no final decision has been made.
For Milwaukee fans, the case is another uneasy reminder of how quickly a players future can get tangled in something much bigger than basketball. The indictment says Beasley manipulated performances to help gamblers, and it also names other defendants, including former NBA player Ed Davis, leaving his next steps in the league very much in doubt as the legal process continues. Bucks Fans Are Still Waiting On One Huge 76ers Decision
The Bucks will get the 76ers with Joel Embiid available, but the bigger question hanging over the matchup is how Philadelphia handles the rest of its injury report. Several names are still listed as injured or questionable, and the Sixers are trying to balance the immediate need to compete with the longer-term challenge of keeping key players fresh as the season goes on.
For Milwaukee, the most notable uncertainty centers on LeBron James, whose back injury management has become part of the pregame conversation even as the team remains cautious with his workload. Dean Wade is also still working back from an ankle sprain and has yet to make his season debut, leaving the Bucks to prepare for a game that could look very different depending on who Philadelphia ultimately makes available.
