Jacob Misiorowski Blasts Radar Gun And Delivers Something Even Bigger

Rising Brewer Jacob Misiorowski's blistering fastball is turning heads and reshaping Cy Young predictions.

Jacob Misiorowski is quickly becoming a name to watch in the MLB, especially if you’re a fan of blazing fastballs. The Milwaukee Brewers pitcher has been lighting up the radar gun with his electric arm.

Last season, Misiorowski boasted the second-fastest four-seam fastball among starting pitchers, clocking an average velocity of 99.3 mph. In a standout performance during Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Chicago Cubs, he unleashed 31 of his 57 pitches at 100 mph or more.

That’s some serious heat, and it’s no wonder he had the second-most triple-digit fastballs in the league after just six starts.

Misiorowski’s firepower has put him on the radar for the National League Cy Young Award. He’s tied for the 10th-best odds at +3000, sharing the spotlight with none other than the Los Angeles Dodgers' two-way sensation, Shohei Ohtani.

Joining Misiorowski in the Brewers’ Cy Young conversation is Brandon Woodruff, who’s back in the rotation after accepting a $22 million qualifying offer, sitting at +3500 odds. Meanwhile, Logan Henderson, who posted a stellar 1.78 ERA in five starts last season, is a long shot at +20000, having not made the team out of spring training.

Former Brewer Freddy Peralta, now with the New York Mets, is also in the mix with +2500 odds after a strong season featuring a 17-6 record, 204 strikeouts, and a 2.70 ERA.

The favorite for the Cy Young? That would be Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes, aiming for a repeat win. However, Eno Saris from The Athletic has tipped Misiorowski as a potential spoiler, thanks to his newly added power changeup complementing his already lethal fastball and slider.

On the MVP front, Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio is a dark horse at +5000 odds, while Ohtani is a clear favorite, aiming for his fifth MVP in six seasons.

As for the NL Rookie of the Year, Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat, acquired in the trade for Peralta, are in the conversation. Sproat made the Opening Day roster, but Williams, known for his elite speed, starts in the minors with +3500 odds. Henderson, despite his brief but impressive stint last season, begins 2026 with Class AAA Nashville, making him a deep sleeper candidate.

The Brewers have a lot of talent in the mix this season, and it’ll be exciting to see how these storylines unfold.
