The Brewers are back on the West Coast for another road swing, and this one carries a little more weight than the last. Milwaukee went 4-2 against the Giants and Angels on its previous trip away from home, but the next seven games are a different kind of test with the Padres and Dodgers on deck.
San Diego is still in the hunt, sitting one game out of the final wild-card spot, and A.J. Preller made sure the deadline mattered by bringing in starting pitchers Casey Mize and Robbie Ray.
Both are slated to pitch in this series. The Brewers, meanwhile, arrive with the momentum of a 5-2 homestand, a 74-win total that has pushed them past the Dodgers for the best record in the National League, and a lineup getting a big lift from Jackson Chourio, who hit four home runs last week and now has 17 on the season.
Milwaukee also gets a strong-looking start from Logan Henderson in the opener. He is expected to take the ball Monday and could end up throwing twice during the week. Over his last four starts, Henderson is 3-0 with a 2.08 ERA, a 0.78 WHIP and 28 strikeouts in 21⅔ innings.

The series is scheduled for Aug. 10-12, with first pitches at 8:40 p.m. CT on Aug. 10, 8:40 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 3:10 p.m. on Aug. 12.
For radio, the games are on the Brewers Radio Network, including flagship station AM-620 WTMJ. Jeff Levering, when not on Brewers.TV, Lane Grindle and Josh Maurer will be on the call.
The Brewers series is also available on the SiriusXM app. The Padres broadcast will be on Channel 181 on Aug.
