OSU Legend Suffers Frightening Medical Emergency

As the New England Patriots face a potential shortfall at the running back position, the team is exploring several high-profile trade opportunities to fill the gap left by TreVeyon Henderson's unsettling health concerns.

TreVeyon Henderson’s health situation has pushed the Patriots’ running back depth into sharper focus, and with the Nov. 10 trade deadline approaching, New England could start looking outside the building for help.

Henderson had already been sidelined by an illness and missed the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Miami Dolphins. But his latest statement pointed to something far more serious than a short-term absence.

He said he went through an “unexpected and unusual medical emergency” that involved unexplained neurological symptoms and required several days in the hospital. His test results were “positive and reassuring,” but doctors still have not found the cause, leaving no clear timetable for his return.

That uncertainty puts more pressure on Rhamondre Stevenson and the rest of New England’s current backfield, and it also puts a few names on the radar if the Patriots decide to make a move.

Jonathan Taylor sits at the top of the market. He’s the biggest swing New England could take, and the cost would reflect that.

The Colts have opened the door to a deal for the three-time Pro Bowler, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks have all been linked to him. Taylor has run for 610 yards and eight touchdowns on 148 carries this season, averaging 4.1 yards per attempt.

Indianapolis reportedly turned down an offer that included a 2027 second-round pick and another selection, and Schefter has said the Colts would want a package similar to the one Carolina got for Christian McCaffrey in 2022: second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-round picks. Taylor is under contract through 2028, so this would be much more than a rental.

If New England wants a different style of back, Derrick Henry is another name to watch. ESPN’s Dan Graziano said Henry is worth monitoring, and the Ravens have reportedly received inquiries about the veteran.

NFL insider Jason La Canfora reported that league executives believe Henry could fetch third-round value. The 32-year-old has posted 689 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 175 carries through nine games, averaging 3.9 yards per attempt.

Baltimore would still have to decide whether it wants to move one of its most proven offensive weapons.

Tony Pollard could be the more realistic target if the Patriots want to avoid paying premium draft capital. The Titans have drawn interest from multiple teams, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, though general manager Mike Borgonzi has not entered trade talks.

There is no confirmed asking price. Pollard has piled up 595 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 133 carries through eight games, averaging 4.47 yards per attempt.

He’s also coming off back-to-back strong outings, with 129 yards and three touchdowns against the Browns in Week 7 and 117 yards and two scores against the Bengals last Sunday.

Breece Hall is another talented option whose name has come up, but the Jets have not sounded willing to move him. Aaron Glenn addressed the speculation on Nov. 2 and said the team was in the business of keeping good players, adding that Hall would remain with New York.

Hall has only 163 rushing yards and one touchdown on 51 carries through three games, averaging 3.2 yards per attempt, and a quadriceps injury has kept him out since Week 3. He did rush for 1,065 yards last season and added 350 receiving yards, but for now the Jets’ stance would have to change before anything becomes real.

Michigan Just Got A Needed Recruiting Win At The Right Time

Michigan picked up a timely boost on the recruiting trail when Xavier Muhammad, one of the more highly regarded defensive line prospects in the 2027 class, reaffirmed his commitment to the Wolverines and passed on official visits to other programs, including Texas. For a program that always has to balance on-field priorities with long-term roster building, keeping a player of Muhammads caliber in the fold matters, especially as the season winds down and recruiting momentum starts to take shape.

Muhammad is still expected to make it to Ann Arbor for Michigans final home game of the season, a good sign that the relationship remains strong even with other schools trying to stay in the mix. His pledge also gives the Wolverines another important piece in a class that is already helping shape how the 2027 rankings look, and it leaves Michigan in position to keep pushing for more stability on the defensive front. Michigan Just Added A Famous Wolverine To Rivalry Week

Rivalry week already has enough built-in theater, but Michigan added a little more with a celebrity nod that fits the moment. The program announced that actor Hugh Jackman will be part of the buildup for the Wolverines' game against Michigan State, and he showed clear excitement in a social media post and video shared by the team.

The matchup is set for Michigan Stadium, with Peacock and NBCSN carrying the broadcast, so the stage is already big enough without any extra help. Still, bringing in a famous Wolverine gives the rivalry another layer of buzz, and it is the kind of detail that tends to travel quickly once the pregame attention starts to build. [Read more 🡒]

Michigan Showed Something Against UConn That Wolverines Fans Will Notice

Michigans trip to TD Garden ended with an 85-77 loss to UConn, but the Wolverines still left with something to build on in a rematch of the 2026 national championship. Trey McKenney was the headliner for Michigan, pouring in a career-high 22 points and giving the Wolverines a scoring punch they needed against a high-level opponent.

J.P. Estrella and Roddy Gayle Jr. also made meaningful contributions, which mattered in a game that asked Michigan to answer when UConn pushed the pace and the pressure. The result still counts in the loss column, but the performance offered a glimpse of what this group can be when it is balanced and aggressive, and now the attention shifts to a home date with Marquette.
