Michigan has already made itself part of the early picture for one of the top defensive backs in the 2028 class, and now Bakersfield (Calif.) Garces Memorial four-star safety Jackson Parker is set to see it for himself.
Parker is lined up for an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor for the Iowa game in late September, and he made it clear this trip carries a little extra meaning.
"Yes, it will (be my first time at Michigan)," Parker told The Michigan Insider. "I've always wanted to see the Big House in person, so it's going to be a fun experience."
The visit gives Michigan a chance to keep strengthening a relationship that already has some real traction, especially with assistant safeties coach Brad Hawkins. Parker said he has been in contact with Hawkins, Coach Stockton and Coach Hill as the staff continues building that connection.
"I've been talking to Coach Hawkins, Coach Stockton, and Coach Hill," Parker said. "It's been a lot of building connections and learning more about Michigan's program!
What stands out most to Parker is the comfort level he feels with Hawkins.
"I really like Coach Hawkins. We talk a lot.
Just talking to him is easy. It's like talking to my cousins."
Parker enters the visit with plenty of attention already on him. He holds nearly 20 scholarship offers, and there are no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions at this time.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Parker is the No. 102 overall prospect in the 2028 class, the No. 9 safety in the country and the No. 6 player in California for his class.
