Michigan is getting a major crack at one of the top young guards in the country this weekend.
Five-star combo guard Brady Pettigrew will be in Ann Arbor for an official visit on Sept. 12, giving the Wolverines a chance to make their case with the nation’s No. 1 combo guard in the 2028 class. Pettigrew, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound standout from Bolingbrook (Ill.), has become one of the most sought-after names on the recruiting trail.
This visit lands in the middle of a packed schedule for Pettigrew, who has lined up official trips to several heavyweight programs. After Michigan, his itinerary includes Indiana on Sept.
19, Florida on Sept. 25, Illinois on Oct.
2, North Carolina on Oct. 9, Kentucky on Oct.
23, BYU on Oct. 30, Ohio State on Nov. 6 and Arkansas on Jan.
That makes this weekend a big one for Michigan, especially since the Wolverines have already built a relationship with him. Pettigrew had been to campus before and is now returning for an official visit.
He arrives after a huge summer on the Nike EYBL circuit. Playing for Bradley Beal Elite, Pettigrew put up 23.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from beyond the arc.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Pettigrew is the No. 14 overall prospect in the 2028 class, the No. 1 combo guard in the country and the No. 1 player in Illinois for his class. There are no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions at this time.
