The Big Ten Network is adding another familiar face to its broadcast team, with former Michigan associate head coach Biff Poggi set to join the network’s coverage in 2026.
Poggi will be part of a Big Ten Network analyst group that already features names such as Dave Wannstedt and Urban Meyer. According to the announcement, he could show up across a range of studio and game-adjacent programs, including The B1G Show, B1G Today, B1G Countdown to Kickoff, B1G Live: Football Game Break, B1G Live: Football Postgame and The Final Drive.
The network also said former Purdue linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, former Oregon running back Kenjon Barner and former UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley are among its other recent analyst additions. Kerrigan, Barner and Hundley are slated to work as game analysts, while Poggi will be used on studio shows.
Poggi, 66, has spent most of his coaching career at the college level since 1987. His most recent stop came at Michigan in 2025, when he served as associate head coach. He also filled in as the program’s interim head coach for two games during Sherrone Moore’s suspension.
After that, Poggi was elevated to interim head coach again in the offseason when Moore was fired by the program, though he was not kept on by new Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham.
His résumé also includes two earlier runs at Michigan. He worked as an analyst for the Wolverines in 2016 and later returned as associate head coach from 2021-22. Between those stints and his latest role, he was the head coach at Charlotte from 2023-24.

Jordan Marshall is the most obvious candidate after showing real production in limited work last season, while Jyaire Hill has the kind of size and speed that can make a cornerback stand out quickly if the flashes turn into consistency. Dakota Guerrants commitment to Oregon for the 2027 class gave the Ducks another major win on the recruiting trail, but it did not exactly close the book on his recruitment. The Harper Woods, Michigan, wideout is still viewed as one of the most coveted pass catchers in the country, and Oregon has built a loaded receiver group around him, continuing a run of five-star additions under Dan Lanning that has become hard to ignore.
For Michigan, the intrigue is obvious. Guerrant is the kind of in-state talent the Wolverines always want to keep home, and LSU is also expected to stay in the mix as he lines up multiple game-day visits. Even with Oregon holding the commitment, this looks more like a long recruiting fight than a finished decision, and the next round of visits could tell a lot about where the pressure is coming from.
