Michigan State Kicks Off Season Ticket Renewals Under New Head Coach

With season ticket renewals set to open January 28, Michigan State fans can prepare for a revamped pricing model, digital upgrades, and a packed seven-game home slate at Spartan Stadium.

Michigan State football fans, it’s time to lock in your seats for what promises to be an exciting new chapter in East Lansing. Starting Wednesday, Jan. 28, season ticket members can renew their memberships for the 2026 campaign - the first under new head coach Pat Fitzgerald.

And there’s plenty to look forward to. Spartan Stadium will host seven home games this fall, including five marquee Big Ten matchups against Illinois, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon, and Washington.

The full conference schedule drops Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network, and that’s when fans will get a clearer picture of how the season will unfold.

This year, Michigan State is rolling out a more modern and flexible approach to ticketing. Season tickets are available at multiple price points - ranging from $35 to $65 per game - depending on seat location. Importantly, seat premiums are holding steady, so fans won’t see an increase in those areas for 2026.

The message from athletic director J Batt is clear: buying season tickets isn’t just about getting into the game - it’s about being part of the program’s foundation. “Season ticket members play a vital role both in the overall success of the department and in creating a true homefield advantage for our football program,” Batt said.

The new pricing structure is designed to reflect market demand while still offering value. Whether you're a longtime Spartan loyalist or a new fan looking to get in the mix, there’s a price point to match - and the best seats will go to those who commit early.

On the tech front, Michigan State is stepping up its digital game. Mobile delivery of season tickets is now standard - and free - making it easier than ever to access your seats on game day. And for the first time, fans can opt into a payment plan or set up auto-renewal for future seasons, adding flexibility and convenience to the process.

Parking is also getting a refresh. Season ticket members can purchase a parking pass for $280, covering all seven home games.

The allocation system is designed to reward Spartan Fund donors and prioritize access to premium lots. Passes are issued based on annual giving level and will now be fully digital.

The structure is simple: one parking pass per four season tickets purchased. That keeps things fair and ensures the most dedicated fans are close to the action.

One new wrinkle for 2026 - Munn Field will be offered as a premium single-game general parking lot. Details on availability and early access for Spartan Fund members will be announced soon.

As for the schedule, it’s shaping up to be a compelling mix of non-conference and Big Ten battles. Michigan State opens the season at home against Toledo on Sept. 5, followed by a visit from Eastern Michigan on Sept.

  1. Then comes a major early test: a road trip to South Bend to face Notre Dame on Sept.

The Big Ten slate features five home games - Illinois, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon, and Washington - and four away dates at Michigan, Rutgers, UCLA, and Wisconsin. The conference will release specific dates on Jan. 27.

With a new head coach at the helm, a refreshed ticketing model, and a home schedule packed with heavyweight opponents, the 2026 season is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing in recent memory for Spartan Nation. Whether you’re in it for the rivalries, the new era under Fitzgerald, or simply the chance to be part of the game-day atmosphere in East Lansing, now’s the time to make sure you’re in the stands.
