Michigan State football is lining up a key visit this spring, as three-star wide receiver Jaiden Kelly-Murray is set to be on campus for an unofficial visit on April 14.
Kelly-Murray, a 2027 prospect out of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is one of the more intriguing names in his class. While he hasn’t yet received an offer from Michigan State, the interest is clearly mutual-this visit could be the first step in building a relationship between the Spartans and a playmaker with serious upside.
The 6-foot wideout is currently rated as the No. 44 receiver and the No. 8 overall player in South Carolina for the 2027 cycle, per 247Sports. He’s also ranked No. 370 nationally, which is no small feat considering how early it is in the recruiting process for that class. And with 30 scholarship offers already on the table, Kelly-Murray’s recruitment is heating up fast.
Programs like South Carolina, Florida State, and Arkansas are already in the mix, along with a host of others from across the Power Five landscape-Duke, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, just to name a few. That kind of attention speaks volumes about his potential.
For Michigan State, this visit is a chance to make an impression. The Spartans haven’t pulled the trigger on an offer yet, but bringing Kelly-Murray to East Lansing gives the coaching staff a valuable opportunity to showcase the program’s direction, facilities, and culture. It's also a chance to get a closer look at how Kelly-Murray might fit into their offensive plans down the line.
With his blend of speed, route-running, and football IQ, Kelly-Murray is the kind of receiver who could thrive in a variety of systems. He’s already shown enough on tape to earn the attention of top-tier programs, and if Michigan State likes what they see during his visit, don’t be surprised if an offer follows.
This is one to watch. As the Spartans continue to build their 2027 recruiting board, Kelly-Murray could become a name that stays in the conversation-especially if things click during his time on campus in April.
