Miami is making waves in the recruiting world, locking in official visit dates with top 2027 prospects. The latest addition to their schedule is four-star quarterback Wonderful Monds IV.
This 6-foot-2, 224-pound talent from Vero Beach, Florida, is set to visit Miami starting April 11th. His itinerary also includes stops at Florida (March 26), Florida State (March 28), Ohio State (April 4), and Notre Dame (April 18).
Ranked No. 254 overall in the 2027 class by 247Sports, Monds is the No. 17 quarterback and the 28th-ranked player in Florida. His offer list reads like a who's who of college football powerhouses, featuring Miami, Florida State, Florida, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Michigan, Oregon, and NC State, among others.
Monds showcased his skills during his junior season at Vero Beach, amassing 2,234 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. Not just a threat through the air, he also rushed for 508 yards and nine touchdowns, proving his dual-threat capability.
Miami's 2027 class is shaping up nicely, with commitments from four-star wide receiver Ah’Mari Stevens, three-star offensive tackle Zaquan Linton, four-star EDGE Demarcus Deroche, and four-star safety Jaylyn Jones. Adding a quarterback like Monds could be a significant boost for Shannon Dawson's offense, promising an exciting future for the Hurricanes.
