Miami’s 2027 ACC slate is set, and the Hurricanes will get a mix of familiar road trips and key home dates when conference play rolls around.
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its 2027 opponents, keeping the same basic structure in place: 16 teams will play nine conference games and at least one power four non-conference opponent, with one team playing eight conference games and at least two power four non-conference opponents.
For Miami, the league schedule breaks down into four home games against Clemson, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Virginia, plus five road games at Duke, Florida State, N.C. State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.
“Announcing our 2027 conference opponents provides another exciting look ahead for ACC Football and the compelling matchups our fans can expect across the league,” ACC commissioner Jim Phillips said in a statement. “By continuing to ensure that every team plays a minimum of 10 Power Four opponents, this model reinforces the collective strength of ACC Football, supports competitive balance across our 17 programs, and prepares our teams to compete at the highest level nationally.”
Miami already has two non-conference games on the 2027 schedule. The Hurricanes will face Utah in Las Vegas, Nev. on Sept. 4 and host Troy on Sept.
- That still leaves one open spot on the 12-game regular-season schedule, which is likely to be filled by a home game.
There’s also plenty of overlap with the current season. Miami is set to face five of its 2027 conference opponents this year: Clemson, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Duke and Virginia Tech.
The Hurricanes will have a chance to answer recent results against a few of those league foes. They’ve lost their last two meetings with Georgia Tech, in 2023 and 2024, and fell to Louisville in 2025.
On the other side, Miami has won its last two against Virginia in 2022 and 2023, and took its most recent matchup with N.C. State in 2025.
The complete 2027 schedule is expected in January.
