Miami is gearing up for an exciting visit as 4-star linebacker Jalaythan Mayfield heads back to Coral Gables this Friday. The standout from Lincolnton, North Carolina, has announced his return for April 3, with an official visit to Miami already locked in for May 29.
Mayfield, a top-tier talent, is ranked No. 92 overall and No. 8 among linebackers by Rivals. 247Sports places him at No. 39 for linebackers and No. 15 in North Carolina, while their Composite ranking lists him as No. 207 nationally.
ESPN slots him at No. 205 in the ESPN Jr. 300, No. 13 at outside linebacker, and No. 10 in the state.
His recruitment journey is heating up with a top five that includes Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Miami, and Oregon. Scheduled visits are lined up for Indiana on April 17, Miami on May 29, Oregon on June 5, Georgia on June 12, and Kentucky on June 19.
