Miami Fans Needed This Feeling About Five Star Commit Jaiden Bryant

Discover how five-star recruit Jaiden Bryant is shaping his future with Miami while the Hurricanes revamp their roster with both top-tier talent and promising prospects.

Jaiden Bryant has already made his move from LSU to Miami, and the five-star prospect is now fully bought in on the Hurricanes. Since flipping his commitment, Bryant has leaned into Miami’s culture and become one of the headline names in the class.

Miami on SI recently caught up with Bryant for a Q&A that went beyond football, using a few lighter questions to get a better feel for the player off the field. Among the prompts were questions about his favorite spot on campus that is not football-related and his favorite memory from his Miami OV.

Bryant’s commitment is part of a broader wave of recruiting momentum for Miami. The Hurricanes also landed four-star receiver Eli Woodard, who chose Miami even though his high school quarterback is committed to California.

The program has kept working the board in multiple classes, too. Miami recently offered 2027 three-star UNLV commit Jaylen Fitzgerald, and Boston College also entered the picture with an offer. The Hurricanes and the Eagles are expected to keep pushing for the tight end, who is the nephew of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald.

Looking ahead, Miami is already mapping out its running back targets for the 2028 class after securing four-star Ty Keys in 2027. One name to watch is Terriel Harmon of West Boca High School, who recently spoke with Miami on SI about where the Hurricanes stand in his recruitment.

Miami also added a quarterback to the future mix with the commitment of 2029 QB CJ Cypher. He is expected to rank among the top quarterbacks in the country once the 2029 class rankings are released. Along with three-star 2028 quarterback Knox Amis and 2027 four-star quarterback Israel Abrams, Cypher gives Miami a strong future outlook at the position.

No matter who ends up under center down the line, the Hurricanes are continuing to chase receiver talent to pair with those quarterbacks. With Woodard and Nick Lennear already committed in the 2027 class, Miami is now pressing for elite 2028 wideouts as well. Early names to keep an eye on there include Madoxx Davis, Brysen Wright, and Tromon Isaac.

Bucs Coaches Already See Something Special In Former Cane Rueben Bain

Rueben Bain has barely begun his NFL journey, but the former Miami edge rusher is already turning heads in Tampa Bay. During offseason workouts and rookie minicamp, Buccaneers coaches have been struck by his physical tools, his pass-rushing ability and the way he carries himself on the field, with Larry Foote and Todd Bowles both singling out Bains intelligence and his focus on football.

For a franchise trying to build out its defensive line depth, Bains early impression matters, especially with veteran help added around him. The Buccaneers brought in Al-Quadin Muhammad to strengthen that group, but the attention on Bain has been hard to miss, and the next step will come when the full team gets back together and the rookie has a chance to show whether that offseason buzz carries into a bigger role. Oregon Just Missed On A Massive Recruiting Target

The recruiting board got a little clearer over the weekend for one of the countrys most coveted pass-catchers, and it did not break Miamis way. Jett Harrison, the top overall prospect in the 2028 class and a five-star wide receiver, narrowed the race to a familiar pair of national contenders before making his choice, leaving the Hurricanes in the mix but just short of landing the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison and younger brother of Marvin Harrison Jr.

For Miami, the miss is part of the reality of chasing elite skill talent on a national stage, where the biggest names often come down to powerhouse programs with deep recruiting pulls. Harrisons decision also sends him into a loaded class at Ohio State, while Miami is left looking for the next opportunity to land a receiver with that kind of pedigree and ceiling. [Read more 🡒]

Five-Star EDGE Battle Is Starting To Feel Uncomfortably Familiar

Recruiting battles for elite pass rushers tend to feel familiar in South Florida, and this one is no different. David D.J. Jacobs, Jr. remains one of the most coveted defensive ends in the cycle, and while he is verbally committed to Ohio State, the door is still open enough for Miami and Georgia to keep working. For the Hurricanes, that alone makes this worth watching, especially with a program that has shown it can stay in the mix with top-tier targets long after an early commitment.

Miami also has built some real momentum on the trail, which only adds to the intrigue around Jacobs' recruitment. Georgia is making its own push with a strong personal connection to the prospect, and the process is far from finished. Until Jacobs shuts things down, this looks like the kind of heavyweight tug-of-war that can stretch on and keep changing shape right up to the end. [Read more 🡒]
