The 2026 McDonald’s All-American Game rosters are officially set, and Miami basketball fans have plenty of reason to be excited. Five-star power forward Caleb Gaskins, one of the crown jewels of the Hurricanes’ upcoming recruiting class, has earned a spot on the prestigious roster.
Gaskins isn’t just a big name-he’s a big-time talent. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he’s the No. 3 power forward and No. 13 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
Even on the standalone 247Sports rankings, he’s still elite: No. 4 among power forwards and No. 20 overall nationwide. For Miami, this is a major win on the recruiting trail-and a reflection of the momentum building under head coach Jai Lucas.
Lucas, of course, is no stranger to this kind of spotlight. His resume as a recruiter is stacked from his time at Duke and Kentucky, where he consistently pulled in some of the most talented players in the country. The list reads like a future NBA roll call.
At Duke, Lucas helped land:
- Cooper Flagg, the top-ranked player in the 2024 class.
- Cameron Boozer, No. 3 in the 2025 class.
- Khaman Maluach, a top-10 prospect in 2024.
- Kon Knueppel, ranked No. 19 in the 2024 class.
And during his time at Kentucky, Lucas brought in:
- Shaedon Sharpe (No. 3 in 2021),
- Cason Wallace (No. 10 in 2022),
- TyTy Washington (No. 15 in 2021),
- Damion Collins (No. 16 in 2021).
Now at Miami, Lucas is building something special. Alongside Gaskins, the Hurricanes also have Shelton Henderson, a top-25 player in the 2025 class, already committed. The message is clear: Miami isn’t just trying to compete-they’re trying to contend.
Gaskins will suit up for the West squad in the McDonald’s All-American Game, joining a stacked group of elite high school talent. Here’s a look at the full Boys West roster:
