Ah'Mari Stevens Sparks Recruiting Battle with Visits to Miami Hurricanes

As top programs vie for Ah'Mari Stevens' talents, questions loom about his Miami Hurricanes commitment amid scheduled visits to LSU, Georgia, and Texas.

Ah'Mari Stevens' summer tour is stirring up quite the recruiting storm, as top programs are eager to sway the four-star talent. The big question: will Stevens stick with the Miami Hurricanes or entertain other suitors?

The Hurricanes have a packed schedule with several prospects visiting, including Stevens, who's set to visit on May 29. But he's also got other schools on his itinerary, hoping to flip his commitment.

Here's where Stevens will be visiting:

  • LSU Tigers on April 18
  • Miami Hurricanes on May 29
  • Georgia Bulldogs on June 5
  • Texas Longhorns on June 19

Ranked 276th nationally, 37th among wide receivers, and 31st in Florida for the class of 2027 by 247Sports Composite, Stevens is making waves at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School in Broward County.

In his junior year, Stevens showcased his versatility across the field. Offensively, he snagged 23 passes for 312 yards, averaging 13.6 yards per catch, with a touchdown in nine games. He also contributed a tackle on defense.

On special teams, Stevens proved his worth by returning five kicks and four punts for a combined 219 yards.

Since committing to the Hurricanes on January 13, 2025, Stevens has made several unofficial visits to their campus and also checked out the Florida State Seminoles.

The Hurricanes have become a prime destination for wide receivers, especially after Malachi Toney's stellar freshman season. Toney led the nation with 109 catches for 1,211 yards and 10 touchdowns over 16 games.

Under coach Mario Cristobal, Miami has emphasized developing local talent, with stars like Toney, running back Mark Fletcher Jr., and edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. making significant impacts.

If Stevens stays committed, he could follow in their footsteps. His scheduled visits to SEC schools highlight his high value as a recruit.

Texas Longhorns' wide receiver coach Chris Jackson is actively recruiting Stevens, having already secured a commitment from five-star Easton Royal, another standout in the 2027 class.

Meanwhile, LSU has brought in Lane Kiffin as head coach, known for his prowess in the transfer portal rather than high school recruitment.

Despite some coaching changes, the Hurricanes retain offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and wide receiver coach Kevin Beard. Keeping Stevens on board will be crucial for their future competitiveness.
