3-Star OL Teases Return After Miami Visit

Reis Russell shares his positive impressions of Miami's revamped football program and hints at a potential return visit amidst fierce competition for his commitment.

As Miami football kicks off their spring practices, the excitement is palpable, and not just among the players and coaches. Top recruits are also taking notice, including three-star offensive lineman Reis Russell.

Standing tall at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 290 pounds, Russell hails from Valor Christian High School in Littleton, Colorado. He’s making waves as the No. 537 overall player in the 2027 class, the second-best prospect in Colorado, and the 34th-ranked interior offensive lineman nationally.

Russell recently shared his thoughts after visiting Miami, and it's clear the Hurricanes made a strong impression. "I really had a great time at Miami.

The energy these coaches bring is special, and I love the way they operate practice. Hanging out with Coach Cristobal and Mirabal was awesome.

Love what they're doing and love the relationship we’ve built over time," he said.

Russell is already planning a return trip to Coral Gables for an official visit from June 5th-7th. "I’ll be back and can’t wait!" he exclaimed, showing his enthusiasm for the Hurricanes.

However, Miami faces stiff competition for Russell’s commitment. They’re in a recruiting battle with in-state rival Florida, as well as Washington, Oregon, Georgia, and SMU. But with Cristobal and Mirabal continuing to bolster their offensive line, Miami staying in the race for Russell is a testament to their aggressive recruiting strategy for the 2027 class.

For those interested in seeing what Russell brings to the table, his film is definitely worth a look.
