Draymond Green didn’t waste much time weighing in on the reported fallout between Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.
The Golden State Warriors forward, who has his own history of teammate altercations, used the Miami situation to take a shot at Udonis Haslem, the former Heat big man who was outspoken when Green punched Jordan Poole during practice a few years ago. This time, Green questioned whether Haslem would bring the same fire to the Herro-Adebayo incident.
“So when I first saw this, I was like 'damn," Green said on his podcast. "This is two guys Udonis Haslem raised. If you raised this young guy in the light of what you was saying about me, and now he punches this other young guy, that y’all kind of co-raised, are you going to have that same energy?"'
Green also made clear he wasn’t eager to pile on Adebayo. In his view, younger players need to show more respect to veterans, and he suggested Herro’s attitude may have played a role.
"Reality is I don’t want him [Haslem] to have that same energy because I love Bam," Green said. "That’s my brother, my dog … Tyler Herro, who’s from Milwaukee like Jordan Poole, has a lot of bravado as a young guy probably said some very disrespectful things like Jordan Poole.”
The reported incident between Herro and Adebayo came last week in Las Vegas, where both players were there to watch NBA Summer League. Adebayo reportedly punched Herro, and the story has caught plenty of attention because it came out of nowhere.
There had been some chatter about tension tied to Herro’s social media comments, but few expected things to escalate to this point. Herro declined comment when asked by reporters in Las Vegas, Adebayo has remained silent, and the Heat have not publicly addressed it.
For now, the situation hangs there, with plenty of eyes on what happens when the teams meet during the regular season.

Udonis Haslem Finally Said What Heat Fans Wanted To Hear
The Summer League dustup involving Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro kept echoing long after the moment itself, mostly because it reopened an old conversation about how teammates handle conflict and who gets to speak on it. When Draymond Green weighed in, his criticism landed squarely on Udonis Haslem, the longtime Heat veteran who spent years around both players and has never been shy about defending the culture in Miami.
Haslem answered in a way Heat fans know well, with the kind of edge that made him such a fixture in the first place. His message pushed back on Green while also nodding toward Jimmy Butler, another familiar name in this whole cross-team conversation, and it served as a reminder that even in retirement, Haslem still sounds like someone who takes Miami's side personally. Heat Fans Wont Love How Kel'el Ware Looked Back On Miami
Kel'el Wares first season in Miami gave the Heat enough to dream on, even if the fit never looked fully settled. He flashed enough to set career highs in several categories, the kind of production that suggested a young big man was starting to find his footing while still working through the demands of Erik Spoelstras system and expectations.
Still, the way Ware looked back on his time with the Heat made it clear the reset mattered to him. He spoke about the appeal of a younger locker room and the chance for more opportunity, which is the sort of sentiment Miami fans usually hear only after a player has already started mentally moving on. For a team that has spent years valuing development as much as results, it is another reminder that not every promising season ends with a clean fit. [Read more 🡒]
Udonis Haslem Got Pulled Into Another Heat Culture Firestorm
A social media flare-up involving Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo spilled into a much bigger conversation about Heat culture, with the dust-up tracing back to direct messages between Herro and a fan. What started as an online argument between two former Miami teammates quickly drew outside attention, turning a personal exchange into another public referendum on how the franchise handles its own.
Udonis Haslem was pulled right into the middle of it when Draymond Green weighed in, and Haslem later answered on social media to defend the standard he spent so many years helping define in Miami. For the Heat, it was another reminder that even after Haslems playing days, his name still gets attached to every debate about toughness, loyalty and where the line is drawn inside the organization.
