Tyreek Hill’s next NFL move remains on hold, and his agent made that much clear this week.
Drew Rosenhaus said he does not expect Hill to sign before the season, even as the receiver continues working his way back from the injury that ended his run with the Miami Dolphins. Rosenhaus also said Hill sent him workout video, including clips of him running hills, and that the veteran receiver still has more to do before he is ready.
“He sent me video yesterday of him running hills, and he looked great,” Rosenhaus said.
According to Rosenhaus, Hill was honest about where he stands. After Rosenhaus told him he looked great, Hill replied, “I still have work to do. I'm not ready yet.”
That timeline fits what has already been public. Last month, Hill said he did not have any power in his surgically repaired leg, which hardly suggested an imminent return. His Week 4 injury in the 2025 season brought an abrupt end to his Miami tenure, and the combination of a long recovery and his hefty salary pushed new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan to release him.
Hill has stayed in the conversation anyway. Social media has kept his name in the mix, both because of his recovery updates and because teams are constantly being floated as possible landing spots. Pat McAfee also spoke with Rosenhaus on his show, where the agent laid out the basic reality: Hill is not expected to sign before the season, but when he does land somewhere, he could still matter right away.

He sent me videos of him running hills yesterday & he looked great..
I do think when he does sign he will be the kind of guy that will impact the playoff race & will certainly be successful” ~ @DrewJRosenhaus #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/FOUdOc9cYF

If Hill gets back on the field this year, the football part is simple: he can still change an offense. A team willing to absorb the injury risk and the price tag would be betting on a player who can swing a playoff race or help a borderline contender climb into the Super Bowl conversation.
But the path to that point is still complicated. Hill wants to win as much as he wants to get paid, and winning appears to be the bigger piece of the equation. After the Dolphins missed the playoffs in 2024, Hill unleashed a memorable locker room rant, then carried that frustration onto social media.
Teams interested in him also have to weigh the off-field issues that have followed him. Still, the equation hasn’t changed much: if Hill is healthy enough to play, he’s the kind of receiver who can tilt things fast.
For now, he has two choices in front of him. He can chase an early payday with a team that might not be a playoff lock and hope his arrival changes that, or he can wait and see which contenders emerge, then choose the best Super Bowl fit.

Jacob Rodriguez Is Giving Dolphins Fans One Real Reason For Optimism
A bright spot emerged for the Dolphins during their joint practice against the Giants, and it came from a rookie linebacker who has been drawing attention all summer. Jacob Rodriguez picked off a pass and kept adding to the strong impression he has made throughout training camp, offering Miami a defensive playmaker to watch as the team continues sorting out its roster.
Rodriguez, the Dolphins second-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, has already put himself in position to keep building momentum in a bigger setting. He will get another chance to show what he can do in the upcoming preseason game against New York, where the Dolphins will be looking for more of the same from a young defender who has started to stand out. Dolphins Make Another Roster Move As Injury Concerns Keep Mounting
A week of roster shuffling kept going for Miami after guard James Ester was waived with an injury designation following a leg injury in a joint practice with the Giants. The Dolphins moved quickly to fill the spot, signing rookie linebacker Stephen Dix Jr. to the active roster as the team continues sorting through the effects of camp injuries and the lineup ripple they create.
Dix brings a fresh look to the back end of the roster after earlier stops with the Cardinals and a college career at Arkansas. For Miami, the move is another reminder that the preseason is as much about staying healthy as it is about evaluating talent, and the Dolphins are now trying to keep both goals in sight as camp moves along. Kenneth Grant Is Already Facing A Tough Dolphins Reality Check
The Dolphins long view is already running through their young defensive front, and Kenneth Grant sits right in the middle of it. The 2025 first-round pick had a rocky rookie season, but Pro Football Focus still tabbed him as Miamis most likely breakout candidate for 2026, a sign that the intrigue around him has not gone away. Even with the roster adding more depth and the organization evaluating its second- and third-year players, Grant remains one of the names that could shape how this defense looks next season.
The problem is that he is also dealing with an injury, and Jeff Hafley has described the situation as week-to-week. That leaves Grant in an awkward spot, trying to build momentum while the Dolphins sort out where he fits compared with the other defensive tackles on the roster. For a player the team clearly wants to see take a step, the next few weeks will matter just as much as the long-term projection. [Read more 🡒]
