Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa Linked to Major NFC Team Move

Amid a major roster shakeup in Miami, the Atlanta Falcons are aggressively pursuing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to bolster their offense, eyeing a seamless transition with their current left-handed play style.

The Miami Dolphins are making waves with a major roster overhaul. General Manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and Head Coach Jeff Hafley have announced the release of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as the new league year kicks off.

But don't expect Tagovailoa to remain a free agent for long. Reports from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero suggest the Atlanta Falcons are eager to bring him on board. Although formal offers are pending his official release, Atlanta is keen on setting up a deal framework.

Tagovailoa, at 28, has been a key figure for the Dolphins over the past six seasons. With a solid record of 44-32 in 76 starts, he’s completed 68% of his passes, racking up 18,166 yards, 120 touchdowns, and 59 interceptions.

The move to Atlanta could be seamless for Tagovailoa. The Falcons' current starter, Michael Penix, is also a lefty, meaning the offensive dynamics won’t require significant adjustments. This offseason, Atlanta’s strategy could benefit from the continuity in quarterback style, making Tagovailoa a fitting addition to their roster.
