The Miami Dolphins are still winless, but the mood around the team has taken a sharp turn back upward.
That’s the clearest takeaway from the latest SB Nation Reacts poll, which shows Dolphins fan confidence jumping back to 79 percent in Week 4. That puts Miami right back near its preseason level after a brief dip following the opening stretch of the season.
It’s been a rough start on the field, but not exactly a shocking one. Miami entered the year in what the source describes as a rebuild season, with the roster and salary cap being reset in hopes of building a steadier team over the next few years. The early results have been uneven, and the Dolphins are 0-3, but fans appear to still be buying into the process.
There was at least a little reason for that optimism after Week 3. Even in a 24-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami showed more fight than it had in Weeks 1 and 2.
The game also came with a major blow, as running back De’Von Achane suffered a season-ending ACL tear. Still, the Dolphins showed flashes of a team trying to pull together and battle through adversity.
The schedule has not done them any favors. Miami heads into Week 4 with a road trip to Minnesota, and the Vikings are one of four straight opponents who began the season 3-0.
The Dolphins have already faced the Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and Chiefs, all of whom are undefeated through three games. With only five teams in the league starting 3-0, Miami drawing four of them in its first four games is a strange quirk of the schedule.
Oddsmakers still aren’t giving the Dolphins much of a chance this week. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Minnesota is a 9.5-point favorite, with the total set at 38.5. The line did move slightly toward Miami on Saturday, but the Vikings remain a heavy favorite to improve to 4-0.
The fan confidence numbers tell their own story. Miami opened the year at 80 percent in the preseason poll and followed with 79 percent in Week 1. That number dropped to a season-low 63 percent in Week 2, then ticked up to 65 percent in Week 3 before surging back to 79 percent in Week 4.
Around the rest of the NFL, the latest SB Nation Reacts polls showed even less optimism elsewhere. The Chargers’ fan confidence sits at just 11 percent, and their poll also asked fans to assign blame for the 0-3 start. Offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins’ former head coach, drew a majority of those responses.

Malik Willis Just Became The Dolphins' Biggest Question
The Dolphins are 0-4 after the loss to Minnesota, and the early season has only sharpened the questions around a roster that has shown some developmental progress even as the results keep sliding the wrong way. For a team trying to find traction, the quarterback conversation has quickly moved to the center of everything, with every week bringing a little more scrutiny to how the offense is being steered.
Malik Willis, signed this offseason as a free agent, is now at the heart of the discussion about where Miami goes next. The evaluation is no longer just about short-term steadiness or flashes in isolated moments - it is turning into a much bigger debate over whether he can be the franchise quarterback moving forward, and the next stretch will carry plenty of weight for how that answer takes shape. Tyreek Hills Next Move Could Hit Dolphins Fans Hard
Tyreek Hills recovery has become one of the more closely watched NFL storylines for Dolphins fans, and the calendar now points toward a possible November return. The veteran receiver is working back from the serious knee injury he suffered while playing for Miami, a setback that ended his season and changed the outlook around his future. He was released by the Dolphins in February 2026 while still rehabbing, leaving his next step tied entirely to how he progresses physically.
Kansas City is already being mentioned as a landing spot once Hill is healthy, which gives the situation an especially familiar twist for both the player and the teams involved. Sources say the Chiefs have strong interest in a reunion, and several current players are reportedly on board with the idea, adding another layer to a comeback that could reshape the late-season market. For Miami, it is a reminder that Hills next move may not just be about football health, but about where one of the leagues most recognizable playmakers chooses to finish his return. [Read more 🡒]
Dolphins May Have A New Lead Back While Achane Is Out
Ollie Gordon IIs role changed before Miamis game against the Vikings, when he was moved to backup running back, but the rookie still wound up making the kind of case the Dolphins needed to see with DeVon Achane sidelined. Gordon delivered his first career 100-yard rushing game, added a touchdown and ran with the kind of power that stood out on a night when Miamis ground game needed a lift.
Jaylen Wright got the start in Week 4, but the Dolphins did not get much traction there, and the overall rushing attack has been under strain with key players missing. Gordons emergence gives Miami a more physical option in the backfield while Achane is out, and it at least gives the staff something useful to sort through as it looks for the right answer on the ground.
