The Miami Dolphins' recent draft history hasn't exactly been a highlight reel, with the 2022 draft standing out as a particularly tough chapter. Channing Tindall, their top pick that year, didn't even finish his rookie contract with the team. Fast forward to today, and Tindall is gearing up for a fresh start with the Atlanta Falcons, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
At 25, Tindall's journey has been anything but typical. A standout at Georgia, he was an All-SEC linebacker and a national champion before the Dolphins snagged him in the third round, 102nd overall, of the 2022 NFL Draft. Despite these accolades, his transition to the NFL hit some roadblocks.
Over his first three seasons, Tindall saw action in 44 games but was on the field for just 21 defensive snaps, tallying up 16 tackles. After being released by Miami last August, he found a spot on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad, where he managed eight tackles across seven games.
Now, Tindall is looking to make his mark in Atlanta, joining the ranks alongside soon-to-be-released Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. This move could be the fresh opportunity Tindall needs to showcase the skills that once made him a collegiate star.
