The New Orleans Pelicans head into their matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies carrying a mixed injury report, but the biggest name on it is Trey Murphy III. Murphy is dealing with bilateral patella tendinopathy and was added to the report ahead of the game, though he is listed as probable and appears on track to play.
That matters for New Orleans, which will need as much available firepower as possible against a Memphis team that has not lost yet and is chasing a 7-0 start. Murphy has been an important piece for the Pelicans this season, so there is at least some relief that the injury does not seem serious enough to keep him out.
Dejounte Murray, who missed the last game against the Atlanta Hawks because of personal reasons, is not on the injury report and should be available.
The Pelicans still have a couple of notable absences. Yves Missi remains out with a left knee contusion and bone bruise, while Jordan Poole is also out because of left ankle tendinopathy. Neither player has made his regular-season debut, and there is still no clear timetable for either return.
New Orleans enters the night at 2-4 and 11th in the Western Conference. It is still early, but the Pelicans are clearly still sorting through how to function in Jamahl Mosley’s system.
Memphis has its own injury concerns. Scotty Pippen Jr. is doubtful with low back soreness, and Quinten Post is questionable because of a right ankle sprain.

Cam Boozer Is Giving The Grizzlies A Rookie Of The Year Buzz
Cam Boozer has wasted no time making the Grizzlies early-season start feel even more promising. The rookie has already checked off a string of eye-catching milestones, including a triple-double that made him the second-youngest player ever to do it, and he has quickly become one of the biggest reasons Memphis is unbeaten to open the year.
The production has been just as loud as the buzz around it, with Boozer giving the Grizzlies a steady two-way presence and a playmaking element that is not usually expected this soon from a first-year player. With a relatively favorable stretch coming up, Memphis has a chance to keep building momentum while the Rookie of the Year conversation starts to take shape around one of its newest faces. Grizzlies Are Finally Seeing Why Tuomas Iisalo Trusted His System
Tuomas Iisalos first full season guiding the Grizzlies drew plenty of skepticism, mostly because of the way he handled his rotation. The short, high-intensity stints were easy to question when Memphis was trying to find its footing, but the roster looks different now with more key players healthy and the offense starting to reflect the structure Iisalo has been building all along.
The payoff has shown up in the way the ball moves and in the expanded responsibilities for players who are being asked to do more than before, including Isaiah Stewart and Cam Spencer. For a team that spent much of last season getting judged through the lens of its coachs methods, this early stretch is at least offering a clearer picture of why Iisalo stayed committed to his system. Young Grizzlies Put Early Momentum To The Test Against Pelicans
The Grizzlies head into Monday nights matchup with New Orleans at FedExForum carrying some early-season momentum after a win over Sacramento, and the timing makes this one feel like a useful measuring stick for a young Memphis group. The game is set for 7 p.m. CST on Nov. 2, 2026, with both teams still sorting through roster changes and trying to establish an identity in the opening stretch of the season.
For Memphis, the bigger question is less about the opponent than about whether the recent progress can hold up once the schedule starts asking for it again. Jerami Grant has already pointed to the team's performance as a reason for optimism, and now the Grizzlies get a chance to see whether that edge carries over against a Pelicans team that should give them a different kind of test on their home floor.
