A fresh video has added new layers to the confrontation between Draymond Green, Yaxel Lendeborg and Zach Edey from the Golden State Warriors’ 111-108 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on October 24.
What was already known was that the situation boiled over in the third quarter and ended with double technical fouls. What the new footage shows is how quickly things escalated once contact started on the Grizzlies’ scoring end.
With nine minutes left in the third, the sequence began after Ty Jerome drew a foul on Graham Ike. Green then put his hands on Jerome after Ike got in his face, and that’s when the temperature shot up.
“That’s a f-king foul though,” Ike shouted seconds before Green and Edey started a scuffle. Edey responded to Green’s actions by pushing him away, and Green accidentally poked him in the eye.
“Don’t do that,” Green said before Yaxel Lendeborg intervened.
“Watch out,” Lendeborg repeatedly said to Edey. “Watch the f-k out.”
The tension kept building from there. Edey turned his attention to Ike and said, “Don’t touch my point guard, don’t touch my point guard, man.
What the f-k are you gonna do?” as Ike kept pushing him and Jerome away from Green.
Once officials, teammates and staff separated everyone, Green kept jawing at Edey.
“Shut up, pu-y,” he repeatedly said to Edey.
Even as the chaos started to calm down physically, the talking didn’t stop. Lendeborg and Ike kept going at each other on the floor.
“We’re not going for that s-t! You’re not like that,” Ike said.
“You’re just tall, n-a! You’ve got no hands. On my momma, you got no hands,” Lendeborg apparently said.
The sequence led to double technical fouls on Ty Jerome and Yaxel Lendeborg.
The video quickly spread on social media, where NBA fans reacted to the idea that Green’s edge-heavy style may be rubbing off on Lendeborg. The source also noted that Green recently encouraged Lendeborg to trash-talk Luka Doncic, even with the pressure that can come from poking the bear this early in a young player’s career.
At the same time, there’s another side to the way Green has pushed him. The source points out that Green has also urged Lendeborg to attack the basket, something that has helped him elevate his game, even if the season is only five games old.
Lendeborg finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals while shooting 36.4% from the field and 33.3% from deep. Green had five points, five rebounds, six assists and one block on 50% shooting. Edey ended with eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks.
For now, the bigger question is how that fire gets channeled. Green’s presence can push a rookie to play with more force, but the line between confidence and chaos is thin. How Lendeborg handles that balance could matter as his time with the Warriors goes on.
Golden State now heads home to face Luka Doncic and the Lakers.

Kings Desperately Need A Break As Injury Questions Loom In Memphis
The Kings head into Saturdays stop in Memphis still searching for their first win, and the trip is only getting tougher. Sacramento is 0-5 and already short-handed, with four key players unavailable, leaving the roster thin as it tries to steady itself against an undefeated Grizzlies team that has looked far more settled through the opening stretch.
Memphis, though, is dealing with a little uncertainty of its own. The Grizzlies listed Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. as questionable for the 5:00 p.m. PT tip, so the final injury report could still shape how much pressure Sacramento faces on the road. Even with that uncertainty, this feels like another early-season test the Kings can ill afford to let slip away. [Read more 🡒]
Cam Boozers Start Has Grizzlies Fans Dreaming Bigger Than Expected
Cameron Boozers first week in Memphis has already gone from promising to impossible to ignore. The rookie forward has been a major part of the Grizzlies 5-0 start, giving the team the kind of early-season lift that can change the mood around a locker room and a fan base almost overnight. In his fifth career game, he put together a triple-double, a performance that instantly put him in rare company and gave Memphis another reason to believe this start is more than a hot streak.
What makes the beginning even more striking is how quickly Boozer has settled into the pace and responsibility of an NBA rotation piece. The Grizzlies have leaned on him from the jump, and the production has matched the opportunity. For a team trying to build something real this season, Boozers emergence has raised the ceiling in a hurry, and it is fair to wonder how high that ceiling can go if this is only the opening chapter. Grizzlies Face A Bigger Concern Than Sacramento Before Key Test
The Grizzlies could be walking into their matchup with Sacramento short-handed in the backcourt and up front, with Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. both listed as questionable and Quinten Post doubtful. Jerome is dealing with upper back soreness, Pippen with lower back soreness, and Post with a right ankle sprain, leaving Memphis to sort through its rotation closer to tipoff.
That uncertainty matters because Jerome has been one of Memphis most important offensive engines, and the Kings are already a familiar opponent after the earlier win over Sacramento. If the Grizzlies are forced to navigate this one without multiple regular contributors, the focus shifts from just getting another result to managing the lineup well enough to stay on track in a key early test.
