Zyron Forstall Stuns Fans With Unexpected College Choice Decision

Zyron Forstall, IMG Academy's standout EDGE player, narrows his highly anticipated college decision to top football programs, eyeing Miami and Ohio State among others.

IMG Academy consistently produces standout talent, and this season, all eyes are on senior EDGE rusher Zyron Forstall. Last year, Forstall was a powerhouse for the Ascenders, ranking second in tackles for loss (9.0) and leading the team with five sacks. With seniors like Jake Kreul and Cam McHaney moving on to Oklahoma and Indiana, respectively, Forstall is set to take center stage as a 5-star prospect.

Reflecting on his future, Forstall remarked, "This time next year, I'm going to be in college. So that's all I'm worried about. Development for college and getting ready for the next level."

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 225 pounds, Forstall is a highly sought-after recruit. Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Miami are all in the mix for his talents, with visits either confirmed or being planned.

LSU, with Lane Kiffin and his new staff, is also making a strong push for the New Orleans native. Forstall noted, "I would say they're doing a good job.

With the big changes they had, it'd be hard for any college to keep up in communication, so I'd say they're doing a good job. I'm still deciding between visiting LSU and Notre Dame."

Forstall has confirmed a visit to Texas A&M and is likely to take a spring unofficial visit to Miami. Reflecting on his previous visit to College Station, he shared, "I just kind of felt at home there.

It was an electric stadium when I went to watch the game. It was amazing.

I get along with the coaches well. I camped there over the summer and felt really comfortable.

I felt like my development would get way better there."

Miami remains in pursuit, with Forstall planning a spring visit to gain further insight into the program. "The relationship has been pretty good," he said.

"(Defensive line coach Jason) Taylor really just wants to continue it. I want to get out there in the spring and see how things operate with the guys."

Forstall's journey is one to watch as he navigates his senior season and prepares for the next chapter in college football.
