Lane Kiffin’s daughter, Landry Kiffin, spoke out Wednesday night after seeing what she described as “vulgar” signs aimed at her ahead of the LSU-Ole Miss matchup.
The comments came as emotions spike around Saturday’s SEC game between LSU and Ole Miss, with Landry saying the hostility had crossed a line. In a post on TikTok, she said she opened her phone to find images of banners on houses around Oxford circulating on different accounts, and that the messages made her feel hurt.
“I usually don’t respond to any hateful posts around game days, but this one actually hurts,” she started in her message on TikTok. Kiffin said the situation hits hard as she’s currently a student at Ole Miss dealing with the consequences of her father’s decision.
“I opened my phone this morning to pictures of banners on houses around Oxford posted on different accounts saying really inappropriate things about me,” she said.” … I think that turning a girl into the punchline of a sexual joke because you’re upset at somebody she’s related to should not be okay.”
Landry Kiffin also said she has never met the player referenced in the posts. She acknowledged the intensity surrounding her father’s return after leaving Ole Miss for LSU, but said she wanted to make clear that she is her own person.
Landry Kiffin is currently in a relationship with LSU football star Whit Weeks. The relationship started before her father left Ole Miss for the Tigers in Baton Rouge.
