LSU is in the mix for another major addition as former Auburn standout Keyshawn Hall draws interest on the transfer market and moves quickly to get back into college basketball.
Hall is believed to have another year of eligibility after a preliminary injunction in Ohio last week, and LSU is among the suitors. He had already exhausted his eligibility last year, but now he’s back in play at a time when the market is crowded with some of the biggest names in the sport.
That’s a big reason Hall stands out. If he is cleared to suit up next season, he would rank among the top returning players in college basketball.
Hall’s path has taken him through four schools. He began at UNLV in 2022, though he did not play much that season. From there, he spent the next three years as a starter at George Mason, then with the Golden Knights and Auburn.
At Auburn last season, Hall averaged 19.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 45.1/37.9/85.7. Those numbers earned him All-SEC third-team honors. He was also named to the All-Big 12 and All-A10 second teams at previous stops.
For LSU and first-year coach Will Wade, Hall would fit the kind of aggressive roster-building approach the program has taken in Baton Rouge. The Tigers have leaned heavily on international players and others seeking more time on the college court, and with a blank slate to work from, that strategy has been aimed at helping the team compete quickly.
Right now, RJ Luis appears to be the most proven college talent on the roster, which only adds to the appeal of a player like Hall if LSU can land him.
